Naomi Watts In Sonia Rykiel – ‘Take Home A Nude’ New York Academy Of Art Benefit

Naomi Watts In Sonia Rykiel - 'Take Home A Nude' New York Academy Of Art Benefit

‘Take Home A Nude’ New York Academy of Art benefit took place at Sotheby’s on Tuesday (October 9) in New York City, with Naomi Watts in attendance.

The actress wore a Sonia Rykiel Resort 2018 two piece look that captures the label’s distinctive 1970s-inspired style.

I love how the striking floral print helps amp up the retro-inspired vision, along with the flared trousers.

You may remember that Sofia Boutella wore this same look back in November last year. Her look felt very much like PJs. All Naomi has done is add a belt, and it has changed the whole dynamic of the look.

2018 American Music Awards

 2018 American Music Awards

Here are the rest of the attendees who joined Jennifer Lopez and Ciara on the red carpet for the 2018 American Music Awards on Tuesday (October 9).

Ella Mai: While I love the mint hue of her Sergio Hudson suit, I’m struggling to believe this was custom made. There’s oversized, then there’s this. And this, ain’t great. From the fit to the tailoring.

Mariah Carey: The diva wore a black body con beaded mesh and fishnet Yousef Aljasmi gown featuring a sweet heart illusion neckline and feather hem. I know what you’re thinking. Typical Mimi. The dress is super dated, and she looks the same as always, and I would agree, but at the same time I absolutely living for this classic, unapologetic moment.

Leighton Meester: I really like this elegant, sophisticated Sonia Rykiel look in theory, but I would’ve loved it more without the v-panel. Messika jewelry completed her look.

Julia Garner In Sonia Rykiel – Netflix Original Series ‘Maniac’ New York Premiere

Julia Garner In Sonia Rykiel - Netflix Original Series ‘Maniac’ New York Premiere

Julia Garner joined Emma Stone on the red carpet for the ‘Maniac’ Season 1 premiere on Thursday (September 20) in New York City.

Her custom knitted dress from Sonia Rykiel lends a tactile spin on classic red carpet attire.

Coloured in blue, my wish for this look is that the under-layer skimmed the floor, instead of stopping halfway.

What I do love is how the sequins and beaded neckline adds interest and attention-to-detail.

Julianne Moore In Sonia Rykiel – Late Night with Seth Meyers

Julianne Moore In Sonia Rykiel - Late Night with Seth Meyers

Julianne Moore has been busy promoting ‘Bel Canto’ and ‘Gloria Bell’ recently, and her latest stop was for the ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ show on Wednesday (September 19).

I will always respect Julianne’s preference to wear black, mostly because she has a knack of keeping things interesting, but when she wears bold colours like this Sonia Rykiel Resort 2019 look, I’m likely to go weak at the knees.

Nodding to classic shirting, this look exudes a high level of chic appeal – especially with those pleats.

The only full-length picture – which was in black and white – shows that Julianne didn’t wear the snakeskin belt, which allowed for a more effortless presentation of the look.

Stacy Martin In Sonia Rykiel & Chanel – ‘Vox Lux’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Stacy Martin In Sonia Rykiel & Chanel - ‘Vox Lux’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

We’ve seen a lot of Miu Miu on the red carpet during Venice Film Festival, although the one person I expected to wear the Italian brand was Stacy Martin, but she didn’t.

Photocall: For the photocall for ‘Vox Lux’ she joined Natalie Portman on the red carpet wearing a Sonia Rykiel navy suit. Classic and clean tailoring at its best, the shawl lapel, button-less blazer lends the look a contemporary finish.

Premiere: Much like Natalie, I was surprised by Stacy’s look at the premiere. Dripping from head to toe in tiny silver sequins, this Spring 2018 Haute Couture jumpsuit is an exquisite example of Chanel’s signature glamour. Usually more understated when it comes to her red carpet style, this was a dramatic change of pace. Styled with Chanel Fine jewels and silver platforms, even with the bizarre layered trousers, I did find myself swooning at this look.
