Eiza Gonzalez In Schiaparelli Couture – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Eiza Gonzalez attended the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscars party in Los Angeles on Sunday (March 4).

The Mexican star wore a silk organza gauze Schiaparelli Spring 2017 Couture gown and coordinating kimono.

While simple, the dress alone is stunning with the textured fabric–when you add the octopus brooch and the kimono, the look is suddenly a talking point. The checked print and bright colored ‘patches’ are truly unique, and add a heavy dose of fun, while maintaining it’s high-fashion level of sophistication.

Gorgeous skin, a red lip and envy-inducing loose waves complete this really intriguing look.

I agree she should’ve worn this to the main event rather than the after party.
This look is fun and grand and very easy breezy…she looked gorgeous

It looks like there is a spider crawling up her boobs

The kimono is a rather inspired choice to wear to an after-party. I like her style choices but i wish maybe her makeup was softer; I don’t know she always seems very ‘hard’ to me.

I just find her so breathtakingly beautiful – I think she had a great fashion night.

I agree! I really liked both dresses and think that all in all she had a great night fashionwise, but this dress is so unique and gorgeous on her I don’t understand how she didn’t wear this to the awards show.

Costume territory in my opinion. And it’s not even after party material.

I would like it without the brooch, which creeps me out.

Why the heck did she not wear this to awards show? It’s grand, elegant, beautiful. The Ralph Lauren was more after party.

This dress has more presence, ideal for the big award show. The yellow Ralph Lauren was simpler, appropriate for an after-party, a premiere, a summer event…

agreed, she should’ve switched her looks around, not that I like this that much but it brings drama that the Oscar’ red carpet deserved.

      exctly what I was thinking!

I asked myself the same at first but, after seeing the press and the blogs, I undertand why she chose the yellow for the Oscars: the impact was way higher than anything she would’ve gotten with this dress. She was there presenting and she clearly wanted to shine on in a good way. I think her fashion choice was very smart and made a lot of news anchors ands blogs talk about her, which helps bringing exposure.

This is pretty cool. And it makes me really happy to see two different Schiaparelli looks on one night! They’re one of my favorite fashion houses.

No no no. This is the Oscars after party!! She had a chance to make an impact and blew it.
