Margot Robbie In Givenchy Couture – 2018 BAFTAs

Margot Robbie exuded dark glamour at the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) in London, England, joining Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James and Greta Gerwig.

After a whimsical turn in Chanel, the ‘I, Tonya’ star showed support for the Time’s Up movement in a Givenchy Spring 2018 Couture gown.

The style had a moody fairy tale quality with the black lace overlay extending from the neck over the fitted top and embellished skirt.

It was a unique take on layering and those who are against sheer skirts will hopefully find favour with this fresh approach.

My only wish is that she had pinned her hair up so we could get a clearer idea of the bow at the back of the neck.

Harry Winston jewels and a Roger Vivier clutch brought more sparkle.

The dress is good for her, but the hair and makeup department really let her down.

Love the dress but agree with comments here about her lackluster presentation. This dress would have had much more impact on someone like Nicole Kidman or Emma Stone.

Pretty dress. But she needs to do something with her hair, it always looks so blah

You know, she reminds me that gorgeous niece that live in the suburbs or the countryside and when eventually she comes to town she starts to try every single piece of high fashion. Because Margot’s outings are always lacking in finesse, that extra touch of elegance that completes the look, THE VOILÀ. the allure that creates almost magical moments/photographs.
She is stunning yet her team of stylists/hairdressers /beauticians are most of times not working in symbiosis to create a really impactful image of a gorgeous woman

I can’t figure out what’s going on here. It doesn’t feel polished.

I can’t figure it out either.

Dull seeming. Kind of surprised this is couture. Its so lacklustre. The hair is def not helping matters.

The gown is quite beautiful, but somehow it all blends and doesn’t produce an impact. The hair needed to be styled differently.

I would love to see her with an updo for once. This look is “meh” for me.

Why does she pose like this? With one arm behind her back and slightly titled to the side. Not sure who told her it was a good idea but she always looks ridicuous and I can never fully appreciate the clothes.
Anyway, the dress is fine…I don’t love it. I agree, her hair should’ve been up.

I LOVE this dress on her! Up there with Gemma for me.

Despite the embellishments I find the dress, and the whole look, quite dull.

  15. Caroline February 18, 2018 at 21:20 #

She looks nice but this dress is so boring and been there, done that.
