Cannot believe a basic purple jacket is the best menswear has to offer among Hollywood men. The lack of creativity and options for men seems to be at its peak in the history of menswear. It really seems like masculinity hangs by a thread.

Sick lineup. Most of these are giving me life. proof that menswear can be as dope as everything else

I think these lists should be titled – although we all do understand anyway – that these are supposed to be best dressed just among Hollywood men.

There are far far better dressed men.

Ryan Reynolds probably wore the same blue or similar looking blue suits/tux throughout the year. What are the critics basing their choices on?

    • Nat39 December 26, 2017 at 1:23 am #

It’s not just throughout the year, this could’ve been a look from a few years back hehe…a very basic generic and tired blue suit formula, plus some obvious little fit issues. I’m getting trouble getting past this pick (at such a high spot no less) lol.

    Fantastic choices .

PURPLE IS THE NEW BLACK! 3 looks out of 10.

    • Nat39 December 25, 2017 at 12:30 am #

It started some time last season and continued very strong this year (gowns, suits, jackets..). It’d be interesting to see what color will be in next.

Surprised not to see Rami Malek’s MET Gala look here. Happy for the Stranger Things boys.

    • charleneg December 25, 2017 at 7:52 pm #

It was just a basic red suit with clown shoes.

Shout out to Tommy Dorfman in Balmain Frow look.

    • Nat39 December 24, 2017 at 4:30 am #

I wasn’t a fan of his Balmain much (I preferred his Fendi frow), but man, looking at some of the picks on both menswear lists makes me wanna shout for Tommy’s Balmain!! haha

    • charleneg December 25, 2017 at 7:53 pm #

Hollywood needs more men like him. It’s strange that people in this ‘creative’ industry dress so conventionally.

  9. Ariya December 24, 2017 at 3:20 am #

I would swap Ryan Reynolds with Rami Malek in Dior Homme.
Happy to see Andrew Garfield and Chadwick Boseman receive the love they deserve.

    • Nat39 December 24, 2017 at 7:10 am #

I didn’t vote for Rami, but he was obviously more note-worthy than some of these men.

      • Ariya December 24, 2017 at 8:41 pm #

        Agreed.

    UGH FC I LOVE YOU
Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Harry Styles, Andrew Garfield, Chadwick Boseman, and Shawn Mendes getting shout-outs is EVERYTHING

Once again, I’m happy Timothee’s Berluti look got the top recognition. He won this one, hands down. Also happy to see Andrew’s Oscars look up there, and also Caleb, Noah, and Dylan made my list.
Overall, I still think it’s not the strongest list, sorry imo. I’m particularly baffled by the inclusion of Ryan Reynolds. There were a bit more note-worthy looks and it’s not even the most outstanding look as far as classics go.

  12. Ana December 24, 2017 at 12:41 am #

SO much better than the reader’s list! Especially for including Harry and Noah.

  13. weiss December 24, 2017 at 12:16 am #

Surprised to see Harry since I think he is just copying looks from Brandon Flowers at this point so I don’t think is original nor do I find them flattering on him.

    • weiss December 24, 2017 at 12:25 am #

I like the rest of the list tho, glad to see so much color and textures. I agree with Christine, this is a better list imo. Is interesting to see commenters complain about guy dressing boring and the seeing the other list…

  14. Christine December 23, 2017 at 11:45 pm #

This better than the reader’s list.

  15. Pheephee December 23, 2017 at 11:42 pm #

I loved Shawn Mendes’ look and also Harry Styles. Fantastic list!

  16. Lashae December 23, 2017 at 11:37 pm #

I really love this list and consider it better than the reader’s choice

    • Isabela December 24, 2017 at 12:36 am #

      I agree.

  17. JHH December 23, 2017 at 11:32 pm #

Love this list — other than Ryan Reynolds, these were my top men’s looks this year. Hu Bing was my number one choice for the year and I am glad he made the list. Can’t wait to see the women’s list.
