A whole host of fashionable and famous figures descended on Harper’s Bazaar 150th anniversary party at Casa de Velazquez on Wednesday (June 28) in Madrid, Spain.
Raquel Sánchez-Silva: The journalist showcased the cyclical nature of style as she donned a Gucci Spring 2017 gown previously worn by Cate Blanchett back in October. It’s easy to see why the ladies wanted to wear this gown; the gorgeous ruffled shoulders bring to mind petals whilst the red bow belt adds yet more intrigue. I love Raquel’s sleek up-do which allows the look to shine to full effect. However, her choice of clutch cheapens the look.
Paz Vega: Looking incredibly polished and chic, the actress opted for a midnight-blue Dsquared gown featuring an open back dress which gave this ensemble a sophisticated yet seductive vibe.
Ariadne Artiles: There was nothing subtle about Ariadne’s outlandish Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture mini dress. Throwing caution to the wind she paired her explosive look with strappy heels, a red lip, and a gorgeous top knot. Whilst the sparkly embellishments were certainly party-appropriate, the sheer fabric and ruffles may not be too everyone’s taste, however, I love the look. What a way to mark such an amazing celebration.
Macarena Garcia: The Spanish actress may have got to this Loewe Spring 2017 look after Sylvia Hoeks, but I’m still captivated by the playful nature of this look. Strappy sandals, tousled hair, and a large clutch bring a carefree vibe.
Teresa Baca: Teresa brought fairy-tale fashion to the event in a sweeping princess gown from Andrew Gn’s Spring 2017 collection. There’s a lot to like about the pretty pink and floral embellishments, but the heavy makeup jars with the light and bright colour palette. The look was styled with a Yliana Yepez clutch. Lola Kirke wore this same gown to the Golden Globe Awards.
Verónica Echegui: This Temperley London Fall 2016 jumpsuit radiates personality and playfulness. I love the party vibes which permeate the whole sparkly look. The Aquazzura shoes lengthen the silhouette just the right amount to make it feel glamorous. Meanwhile, the Yliana Yepez clutch adds a pop of personality. This is the ultimate grow-up party look, wouldn’t you agree?
