Olivia Palermo In Banana Republic – 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards
I was excited to see Olivia Palermo at the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in New York City, as she was debuting a look from her forthcoming capsule collection with Banana Republic.
It’s the label’s first-ever co-branded collection, and judging by this enviable dress, it was very much a good call to collaborate.
I love the rich cayenne hue in partnership with the femininity of the cold-shoulder silhouette and flounced bodice and sleeves. The button accents and belting offer a nearly trench-inspired mood for modern, classic appeal.
A shame about the less streamlined, real-life fit and the creases on Olivia, as they compromised its full potential.
