‘The Space Between Us’ LA Premiere

The actresses at ‘The Space Between Us’ premiere on Tuesday (January 17) in Hollywood, California couldn’t have had more space between each of their distinct style offerings that had nothing in common that evening.

Janet Montgomery: In a mannish version of boudoir lounge wear, the actress introduced a look that was a cross between a dressing gown and a man’s button-down for this shirt dress by Jacquemus. Her exposed neckline is beautiful but the rest gets a bit haphazard.

Britt Robertson: Bedazzled fringe was the order of the day in this Miu Miu metallic frock, the skirt to which could have passed for a beaded door curtain.

Carla Gugino: While the saturated red-orange hue was eye-catching, the rest of this Maria Lucia Hohan lace look didn’t translate as well, from the overdone fancy prairie bib bodice to the tiered skirt layers and the nude suede shoes.

Skai Jackson: The young starlet is only 14, but she showed a command of fashion way beyond her years in this youthfully exuberant Marc Jacobs metallic dotted blouse and Chloe sailor shorts. Of course, the best part may have been her Ruthie Davis x Minions heels, which were a delightfully quirky way to round out the style-forward look, together with her long fishtail braid. She was by far my favourite of the premiere night.
