Ashley Judd In Badgley Mischka – 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Ashley Judd In Badgley Mischka - 2015 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Ashley Judd took a Spring-like turn on the red carpet of the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last night (April 25) at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.

The actress wore a lavender, watercolor-print Badgley Mischka gown with a sweetheart neckline and waistline ruching with silver ankle-strap pumps and clutch and a few well-placed jewels.

Radiant skin with sun-kissed cheeks, glossy lips and soft curls accented with a floral fascinator complete the fresh look.

I just cannot get on board with this fashion statement for this event. While the dress is gorgeous, it doesn’t quite fit with the occasion, and by taking the theme so far with the floral headpiece, Ashley has stepped squarely into a costumey place she just doesn’t need to be. At another event, this could have been divine, but it feels out of place at a political dinner.

Do you agree with me? Or do you love Ashley’s celebration of  Spring?

This is just so not working. The styling is awful and amateurish feeling.

Agree, not appropriate for the occasion or even for her age, i expected something sophisticated.

I don’t care for the dress or the clutch, but the colour goes beautifully with the flowers, so I’m content looking at the close up.

I think this may be Worst dressed of the year contender.

A wildly out of place look that feels dated with the styling.

Wrong for the occasion, also this looks like something she wore 10 or 20 years ago! I mean, head-to-toe, I’m sure (if I cared) I could dig up photos that would be eerily similar.

Perfect for a luau but not for this occasion.

The occasion may be off but I think she looks stunning. This is very 00’s Ashley (which I loved).

Agree. It’s not just a celebration of spring but a celebration of her beauty – she looks radiant and the flowers feel very natural on her. I’m not sure this is inappropriate for the event, I think she made a lovely guest.

This look is completely out of place at this event and the whole thing comes off as childish in a way. The dress is the greatest to begin with but adding that hair accessory was the worst decision.

Her styling brings down a pretty dress.

    The dress is beautiful… BUT:

    1. the hair piece is awful.
    2. the shoes and clutch are not the best choice.
    3. the dress sits too low.

The clutch is awful and the flower head accessory is a bit OTT.
