Anne Hathaway In Valentino – 2014 World Of Children Awards

Anne Hathaway In Valentino - 2014 World Of Children Awards

Anne Hathaway attended the 2014 World Of Children Awards held at 583 Park Avenue on Thursday (November 6) in New York City.

The actress was back in her favourite house – the Maison of Valentino, that is – wearing a leather mini dress from their Resort 2015 collection featuring a decorative laser-cut neckline accented with studded detailing.

We have seen Anne’s style take a more mature direction during her ‘Interstellar’ promo tour, with mostly underwhelming results, so how does this look fare?

For me, I have to say I like the look, even though I prefer the look book version.

I have a feeling some might be put off by this, deeming it too twee or a step back, but I think the contrast sheer yoke prevents that, giving the look an edge.

I would just question the necklace with that detailed neckline.

I hate Anne’s new “style” since she quit Rachel Zoe I have been consistently underwhelmed and unimpressed either the looks are boring or unflattering. This is boring the look book version is divine!

You can be mature without being sad and boring see Jessica Chastain, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Dockery

The dress does nothing for her,
I hate the hair but she’s growing it out and i guess this is the awkward phase.

The black sheer yoke contrasted with the off white is throwing this off imo. All black like the look book or all white might be ok.

A misstep for Anne during an otherwise decent press tour – perhaps worn as a favor to her pal Valentino? Can’t imagine why else she’d pick this, she’s favored clean, no-frill modern lines recently.

I agree that this dress would look perfect on someone like Felicity Jones or Elle Fanning. Unfortunately, this dress in white looks a bit too juvenile on Anne. She should have opted for the dark color version of this dress, as seen in the lookbook.

This would be adorable on someone like Felicity Jones, but it looks absurd on Anne. For such a youthful dress, her hair is incredibly aging, and I just don’t get any of it at all.

Spot on about Felicity Jones. She has the delicate petiteness to pull this off. Anne is too tall and mature looking for this.

I think she picked this dress because it is awful. She is trying to say to the crowds, you seemed to think I was too perfect, well now I’m not. But she’s gone too far in the other direction.

Classic look for a beautiful cause. I can’t ever say anything is wrong with anything from Valentino. So maybe I don’t count 🙂

Awful dress. Especially the white version.

The lookbook version is much better.

Sorry – not good at all. She is too mature for this dress now, save it for Kiernan Shipka. The hairstyle is not helping and contributes to the look being so twee and junior. Definitely can do better.

This is just a huge no. From that baby dress to the hair and shoes. No no no.

What is this?! She’s a respected Oscar winning actress and is dressed like a pilgrim-baby! Please Anne, bring back Rachel Zoe!

+10! She used to be exciting to watch, and now it’s really disappointing.

It reminds me of an old baby dress…

I don’t like the dress in either version. not my taste.

The black version with the colourful accents is soooo much nicer than the white version, which looks a bit cheap with the sheer panel and studs.

I wish she had worn the look book version.

      +1

I have to say this is one weird look. She looks like a baby with an adult body. The hair style is not helping at all either.

The colour is a nice change of pace after many dark and grey dresses but otherwise I don’t really like this.

I prefer the lookbook version too. Anne’s version look very pilgrim ish
