Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Alexander McQueen – Queen Elizabeth II’s Official Birthday

Queen Elizabeth II's Birthday Parade: Trooping The Colour

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, joined Prince William, Prince Harry and their grandfather Prince Philip to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s official birthday with an impressive Trooping the Colour parade, which they watched from the balcony of the Royal Horseguards in London, England, on Saturday (June 14).

The Duchess wore a pale blue brocade Alexander McQueen jacket over a matching dress colour-coordinated with her Jane Taylor hat.

How is this McQueen? Well, if you look closely enough you can make out a few of the brand’s signature skulls woven into the fabric.

Catherine accessorized with a pearl brooch and Annoushka earrings.

I can’t say I am impressed with this look; quelle surprise, I find it quite aging for Kate and the colour a tad dull.

I never understood the fascination with her style. This is again a most bland look. I always get the impression that her clothes are not tailored well, because they sit so awkwardly on her, especially the sleeves. I don’t know how this is possible. I could also be that she just doesn’t fill up those jackets, but it is still weird for someone who’s clothes are designed for her. or maybe it’s just her build in general. such a shame. Camilla looks much better than Kate. Although, on second thought, she always does.
I am absolutely sure that there are ways for her to look good but still are appropriate. She just cannot find them.

Definitely aging. Sofie’s dress looks more youthful (though not inappropriate for her).

FC did you at least giggle when you saw Catherine wear SKULLS, however faint, in her suit?

Whoda thunk it, Duchess Snoozy Proper wearing SKULLS…

I just wish she would stop wearing Mcqueen.

There is a difference between classic and boring. She always looks twice her age, and boring at that. I must resign myself that I will get nothing from her fashion-wise. She will always be safe and boring.

Well at least she added a brooch admittedly a very very dull one but baby steps.
