Stacy Martin In Miu Miu – 2014 Met Gala

Stacy Martin In Miu MIiu - 2014 Met Gala

Stacy Martin attended the 2014 Met Gala in New York City on Monday (May 5) alongside fellow Miu-Miu-clad actresses Elizabeth Olsen and Dianna Agron.

Of the three, this custom bicolor dress stood out for me, featuring a turquoise sheer-organza bodice incorporated with a red brocade skirt which is enhanced with metal and fringed beaded embroidery.

Adding yet more colour to her look, she added oval turquoise earrings, red and lilac patent Miu Miu platform sandals and a red satin Miu Miu bag with a crystal handle.

Perfection from head to toe, or would you remove some of the accessories and let the dress shine alone?

I like the close up (including earings and hair), but she lost me on the bag and the shoes. Also not quite right for the night, but I do like this.

Way to informal for this event and just not attractive. Hair is also too casual.

This is bad – the cheap-looking sheerness, the unattractive colour combo and chunky shoes…not to mention doesn’t fit the dress code. Thumbs down.

    This is awful.

There’s Prada/Miu Miu with the bikini top again. It’s still a strong NO. And this is so not Met attire to begin with.

the visible bra is a no for me.

I have rarely seen such a bad showing from a family of brands [Miu Miu and Prada], as this year’s Met Gala. There isn’t a single look from the 9 [3 MM and 6 P] that I even like, much less love.

Fail all around. Expected more from the fashion house, a lot more.

terrible dresses, IMO the worst of the night. Shame on you, Miuccia

So many photocall/afternoon premiere looks. I don’t get it.

Not a fan. Besides being too casual for the event, the top and the bottom just do not work together.

People should stop wearing Miu Miu and Prada !
Except with Adele Exarchopoulos, it’s always a huge fail.

Had the top been lined, I would have liked this for a movie premiere.

      Agreed

Agree 100%. I don’t even begin to understand how so many of these dresses and ensembles are respectful in homage to Charles James (or Anna for that matter)

Yes, lined it would be cute for ANOTHER EVENT. I am also very displeased by the total ignoring the dress code. Last year people were much more attentive, and that was a harder theme!

All in all, it definitely was not Miuccia’s night.
I did not fully like even one of the looks, either Prada’s or Miu Miu’s.

I would’ve removed the earrings. I think this Miu Miu look is the best out of the three though.

  14. Marcel May 6, 2014 at 3:29 pm #

I would remove EVERYTHING and offer a beautiful dress, one appropriate for the event. And a decent pair of sandals without those hideous platforms.
She is such a beautiful girl and deserved much much better.
SHAME ON whoever dressed her like that.

Don’t like the accessories and the hairstyle feels too casual. The best Miu Miu look was Dianna’s look for me.
