GQ Men Of The Year Party

GQ Men Of The Year PartyIt’s no surprise that Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o weren’t the only ones cutting handsome—and pretty—profiles at the GQ 2013 ‘Men of the Year’ party, hosted last night in Los Angeles, California. There was plenty more eye candy to spare.

James Van Der Beek: The actor brought out his own baby blues in a Todd Snyder ensemble, ratcheting up his grey plaid suit with a blue shirt, lighter tie and mixed-print pocket square. The grand finale of the look, though, were those blue shoelaces on his brown loafers.

Darby Stanchfield: Decked out in a burgundy-red Emilio De La Morena Fall 2012 gown, the ‘Scandal’ star mixed sophistication and edginess with this streamlined, lacquered-bodice dress, which actually set off her slicked-back, flame-toned locks. You may remember Julianne Hough previously wore this gown.

Chace Crawford: The actor opted for a light dove-grey, wool two-button small notch lapel suit by Dior Homme, which he wore with a white cotton, button-down shirt, black silk tie and black leather derbies. Something about the suit wasn’t as sizzling as his stare.

GQ Men Of The Year Party 2Matthew McConaughey: Always one to draw a stare or several, the handsome actor and GQ Leading Man Award recipient took a high-voltage approach in a shiny, steel-grey Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit, which he wore over a navy-blue, partially unbuttoned shirt, sans tie. The cool factor is there, but can he still outshine the sheen?

Jaimie Alexander: The ‘Thor: The Dark World’ actress skipped the sheer in favour of a Herve Leger strapless silver-grey frock that was still plenty sexy with its figure-hugging silhouette and alluring body-con, printed pattern.

Matthew Morrison: This ‘Glee’ guy also stayed away from the basic black suit, with his charcoal blazer, light-blue shirt and yellow tie. But, when mixed with the dark pants and brown and white oxford shoes, this look was quirky, but it didn’t quite make the grade.

GQ Men Of The Year Party 3Darren Criss: Like his ‘Glee’ co-star Matthew, Darren also delved into a more adventurous look with a Neil Barrett Spring 2014 suit, featuring an exploded-print, black-and-red plaid jacket. Christian Louboutin’s ‘Bruno Orlato’ shoes finished off his edgier look.

Camila Alves: Accompanying her GQ man, Camila posed alongside Matthew McConaughey in a hyper-sophisticated, pale-pink wrap dress with exaggerated shoulders styled with Casadei pumps. Nude-toned makeup completed her softly smoldering entrance.

Chiwetel Ejiofor: The British actor looked plenty dapper in a Prada Uomo Fall 2013 midnight-grey suit, crisply juxtaposed with a white button-down shirt, black tie and black dress shoes.

I have to say that I was not missing the lack of black suits and tuxes last night. Who had your favourite look here?
