Eva Longoria’s 2013 NCLA ALMA Awards Hosting Looks

Following her Zuhair Murad red carpet look at the 2013 NCLA ALMA Awards, Eva Longoria commenced her co-hosting gig with Mario Lopez, where she proved she was the ultimate quick-change artist—and a fashionable one at that. The glam chameleon showed off not one, not two, but a lucky seven looks, some of which even managed to venture outside her standard style box.

Elie Saab: Shining brightly in an Elie Saab Fall 2013 coral, cap-sleeve gown?, Eva dazzled in this beaded, embellished design that was radiating an Art Deco vibe. The only accessories needed for this dress, which sparkled from a mile away, were diamond stud earrings and a casually cool, wavy ponytail.

Randi Rahm: She also swept onto the stage in a flowing halter dress by Randi Rahm in the most engaging shade of emerald, which she attempted to match to her sandals. The rich, jewel-tone hue really captured my attention here.

Etro: Strutting out a look that was more her traditional style, Eva stunned in black, off-the-shoulder column dress from Etro’s Fall 2013 collection. The sharp, architectural structure of the plunging, V-neck bodice—and the fact that she didn’t clutter the design with unnecessary jewels—really made this look one of my favourites.

Paula Ka: She also lit up the proceedings in a hot-magenta column dress from Paule Ka’s Spring 2013 Black Carpet Collection, matched with a bubble-gum pink lip. The fluid silhouette of the sleeveless, one-shoulder design was a refreshing change for Eva, even if her nude peep-toe pumps seemed a mere afterthought.

Max Mara: Taking on a Max Mara Spring 2014 look, Eva wore a pink strapless gown that may have been lacking shape, but it did receive an extra dose of romance with her long brunette waves.

Monique Lhuillier: Not content to leave the stage without a bit of bold sparkle, Eva donned a Monique Lhuillier Fall 2012 black, scoop-neck gown, awash in glittering, head-to-toe sequins. She topped off the look with side-swept waves and a nude lip.

Romona Keveza: Taking a more darkly, dramatic turn, the co-host became a vampy mermaid with her Romona Keveza Fall 2013 black, burnt-out velvet gown, accessorized with a long fishtail side braid. The dress’s long sleeves and long train were juxtaposed with a skin-baring, backless detail.

Which of these seven looks had the most sizzle, in your opinion?

Elie Saab, Romona Keveza, Paula Ka–my faves.

The Elie Saab looks divine with her skin tone, while the long-sleeve Romona Keveza is refreshing for Eva! But I always love a green dress, so I’m a big fan of the 2nd look too.

I like the first 3 looks.

And the lesson is- Eva needs waist definition or something that flows from her body- tight and straight just doesn’t work with her figure. She went from her worst ever look (the red leather sausage monstrosity) to her best ever by far- the Etro is perfect!

Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of Eva’s “pageant” style. But supeisingly, I find that she looks good in all these gowns!
I especially like the Elie Saab and the Paula Ka.

The Etro look is my favourite of all her looks, she looks great and I’m glad that she didn’t wore unnecessary jewels. The Randi Rham look is my second favourite, the colour is amazing.

All of these looks are far more superior than the unflattering Zuhair Murad dress she wore on the red carpet *sigh* why, Eva?

    Not liking anything here.

  13. Nadine September 28, 2013 at 10:58 pm #

I really like the Paula Ka – minus the shoes.

Etro is my fave. Sharp, structured, sophisticated, it impresses in simple sleek black and is so incredibly perfect on her.
The Elie Saab gown is gorgeous but that ponytail is killing it for me and she needed to straighten the belt, and also like the green Randi Rahm although the skirt seems too long.

    • KatieKate September 29, 2013 at 1:44 am #

I agree on all points. Etro is the MOST fab! The belt on the Saab looks crooked, and a bit tight across the hips. The emerald Rahm looks great on her skin and very flattering, but too long. I also like the Paule Ka pretty well, the Max Mara is nice enough, do not like the Lhuillier, and the Keveza is interesting, pretty flattering, love the hair, but still not as great as the Etro or Rahm. But ALL of the m are ten times better than that red Murad monstrosity.

Etro is my favorite by a long mile.

Confratulations to Eva, for once I like all her looks.

i prefer every single look from this post over the red zuhair murad dress. my favourite here is probably the shapeless max mara gown. i just wish she’d softened the make-up a bit.

Agreed! I’m not crazy about the Max Mara and the Monique Lhuillier, but this post has so many different and yet good looks that I can’t understand why she’s always giving us these other meh looks. She’s such a stunning lady! My favourite is the Etro as well.

I prefer the Elie Sab and the Randi Rahm dresses
