Katie Aselton In Paule Ka – 2013 Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Party

Katie Aselton In Paule Ka - 2013 Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Party

I had the pleasure of talking to the lovely Katie Aselton at the 2013 Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar party on Sunday.

She was lovely to compliment the Roland Mouret Oscars look which you guys picked for me.

Opting for an effortless look, she wore a Paule Ka Spring 2013 tri-colour dress from the Black Carpet Collection.

Her black-and-white long-sleeved dress with a violet sash may not feature a foot-long train or dazzle with sparkles, but the laidback look suits the Indie actress’s style to a T.

At the moment, I’m mildly obsessing about anyone sporting a red lip, and this glossy shade was a beautiful, bold addition to Katie’s look.

An updo with face-framing tendrils, silver jewels and a sparkling clutch provided the finishing touches.

Effortless chic only works on so many people, because she’s the AList actress of the Indie world this works for her. I like that she pushed up the sleeves a bit to show a little skin and those earrings are really cool. FC, sounds like you had a dream of a night with all the celebs! You looked so elegant!

Elegant but a little rumpled. She sounds like a sweetie, though!

Not bad or very good, it’s an OK look.

Not terrible but not quite right for her.

This is more appropriate for someone like Diane Keaton…or an Amish person.

I intensely dislike the white bodice, which looks like a cheap blouse bought to go with a rather nice sash and skirt. It’s droopy and the fabric looks cut-rate.

I like the jewels and clutch — too bad she didn’t have a dress worthy of them.

I love the make-up. That lipstick really is a great shade for her. She projects such a charming air that the overall look almost works.
    Well, almost, but….no.

This looks really old, I thought I was looking at a woman in her 40s-50s not 30s.
