Claire Julien In Emilio Pucci, Taissa Farmiga In Valentino & Katie Chang In Dior – ‘The Bling Ring’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

It was very much a girls’ night out as Emma Watson and her ‘The Bling Ring’ co-stars took to the red carpet tonight for the movie’s premiere during Cannes Film Festival.

Claire Julien: Having stepped out in Balmain earlier today, the blonde actress selected a blush-coloured Emilio Pucci gown which was custom made for her. The strapless gown with sheer inserts and an epic organza train was styled with a gorgeous smile and natural golden waves.

Taissa Farmiga: For her second Cannes look, the actress wore a Valentino Fall 2013 gown, a privilege many more established actresses are yet to enjoy. Her sleeveless black gown with an off-white lace bodice with leather insets at the sides features a tonal lattice beaded embellishment throughout. Side swept tresses and diamond drop earrings completed her look.

Katie Chang: The young actress had the honour of being dressed in Dior tonight. The brand are really staking their claim on this festival this year. Katie wore a Dior white silk crepe gown with a black sash which she styled with Dior Fine Jewelry.

They may be relative unknown celebrities to us, but it looks like fashion brands are taking notice, which is to be applauded.

Miley Cyrus In Valentino – Maxim Hot 100 Party

Miley Cyrus suffered a makeup malfunction while attended the Maxim Hot 100 Party held at Vanguard in Hollywood, California as the magazine’s HOT 100 #1 girl.

I would be not surprised if the person who applied this Ronald McDonald clown makeup is headed to the job center this morning.

The singer wore a black strapless Valentino jumpsuit with a white banded neckline featuring a sculptural contrast back bow lending a dainty finish to this strapless one-piece.

Styling her look, Miley added her favourite Saint Laurent ‘Paloma’ sandals – which we’ve also seen on Kelly Rowland and Jada Pinkett Smith – and a selection of gold jewels.

You may remember that Lena Dunham has also worn this jumpsuit earlier this year.

Pace Wu In Valentino – Modern Media and Trends Media Group 20th Anniversary

Pace Wu was looking effortless and very pretty (so what’s new?) while attending the Modern Media and Trends Media Group 20th Anniversary in Sanya, China on Monday.

The actress/model wore a Valentino Spring 2013 gown – a designer I hope to see plenty of during Cannes Film Festival.

Her wish-flower printed dress with a camisole-style bodice, v-neck, A-line waist and a scalloped hemline was styled with just a white clutch.

Such a soft, beautiful creation deserved to be centre of attention.

A light-red glossy lip colour and low ponytail completed her look.

Vera Farmiga In Valentino – ‘Bates Motel: Reimagining A Cinema Icon’ The Paley Center for Media Presentation

Vera Farmiga joined Nicola Peltz in attending The Paley Center for Media presents ‘Bates Motel: Reimagining A Cinema Icon’ at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, California on Friday evening.

The actress wore a Valentino Resort 2013 look, which featured a long-sleeved black lace shirt with white contrasting collar & cuffs, which she paired with a black pencil skirt.

Vera added a black patent belt, a black clutch and nude pumps to her look, keeping the makeup simple with side-swept bangs and a neat bun completing her look.

I have a feeling that the overall look ages Vera somewhat. I really want to love the look, but something is preventing me. It might be the pumps or that belt.

British Academy Television Awards 2013

Here is a roundup of the rest of the looks from the British Academy Television Awards 2013 held at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday.

Millie Mackintosh: Opting to steal the limelight from the celebs at this event, the reality TV star wore a daring Sass & Bide Fall 2013 strapless gown with a plunging sweetheart neckline, gold-plated accent, keyhole cut-out and thigh-high slit. Gold cuffs, a Swarovski clutch and black strappy heels completed her look. If stealing the limelight was her intention, I would say this was mission accomplished.

Holly Willoughby: I love Holly’s red Valentino one-shoulder gown; however, her black platform heels are a huge letdown. They are so clunky and heavy in comparison to the rest of her look. She can do – and has done – much better.

Jessica Hynes: This Vivienne Westwood gown was one of my favourites on the night. The black silk gown, with a ruched pale-pink chiffon-trimmed neckline, draped detail at the back and draped over-the-shoulder detail, gives her a beautiful silhouette. Allowing the gown to shine by just adding nude pumps was the perfect way to style this look.
