Sombr Named Valentino Ambassador Under Alessandro Michele 

Maison Valentino has named Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer Sombr as its new global brand ambassador, but this isn’t a partnership that appeared overnight. We first clocked him in Valentino back at the 2025 MTV VMAs, followed by his Spilt Milk 2025 performance, and then three separate Valentino looks at the Grammys this past weekend, making the announcement feel more like a formalisation than a debut.

His first official outing as a brand ambassador came at the Grammys, but by that point, the alignment already felt established. Sombr’s approach to style has always leaned instinctive rather than trend-led, and his recent Valentino run reflects a comfort with clothes that carry personality.

At just 20 years old, the New York City native has built a distinctive visual identity alongside a fast-rising music career. There’s a genuine ease in how he wears the house, which mirrors Alessandro Michele’s taste for expressive, character-driven dressing.

Sombr described the partnership as an honour, citing his admiration for Michele’s vision and Valentino Garavani’s legacy, but the real story is already visible on the red carpet and on stage. As he heads into the European leg of his sold-out Late Nights and Young Romance tour, this ambassadorship is one that makes so much sense.

In short, this is Valentino recognising someone who was already dressing the part.
