This event has got to be one of the Best Dressed events I’ve ever seen, as everyone made a magnificent effort.

I’ve never been one to go gaga over Chloe Sevigny, but I absolutely LOVE her in this Miu Miu Spring 2010 dress.

It’s something only the likes of Chloe and Zooey Deschanel could pull off without looking like a grown woman dressing childishly.

Her bejewelled turtle neck dress is so playful and dainty, plus I love her neutral accessories which complement her dress well.

*Sighs*

Kate Beckinsale blew me away at this event.

I love the way her midnight green asymmetrical Andrew GN Spring 2010 gown appears to snake around her toned body.

The draping is magnificent, the embellished belt and shoulder detail adds texture and the look is pulled together with an elegant updo.

This is one of my favourite looks from Kate, who completed the look with a black Jenny Packham Baguette clutch.

Christina Ricci wasn’t brave enough to wear the runway version of this Prada Spring 2010 cloque baby doll dress, but she settled on a forest green modified version which she accented with a silver waist band.

Christina isn’t shy at taking risks, but baring her panties at this event wouldn’t have been quite appropriate.

Is it me or does Christina change her hair colour every time she hits the red carpet?

Jessica Alba’s also opted for a Prada Spring 2010 cloque halter dress.

Looking at the closet match to the runway, I would have preferred her to have worn the runway look as it’s far more interesting.

Red satin Prada heels and a red velvet Prada Velluto Sere clutch from the Fall 2009 collection complete this rather tame look.

It looks like what we saw on the Prada and Miu Miu Spring 2010 runway’s may not be exactly what we will see in the boutique’s.

Eva Mendes’ Miu Miu Spring 2010 black and beige dress, takes the jewel embroidered detail from the runway look to perfect her sexy sheath dress.

I adore her look, especially the hair accessory which adds a bit of pizazz to her classy updo.

The edgier runway version wouldn’t have quite worked for her.

Normally I can match a dress to a celebrity the moment I see it on the runway, which also helps me memorize runway looks.

This Marchesa Spring 2010 embroidered black tulle gown with draped sleeves looks like it was made for Shirley Manson, despite that fact that I would never have consider her for this stunning gown.

The singer gives the gown a romantic Gothic vibe I don’t believe Georgina Chapman was going for, but Shirley really works this look.

Daisy Fuentes saw the magic which Gustavo Cadile created for Catherine Zeta-Jones last week, and created it for herself wearing one of his luscious gowns.

I love the amethyst colour of her Spring 2009 halter chiffon gown, which is slightly modified from the runway as hers has jeweled straps.

This would’ve been the reason she pulled back her hair, so we could see that stunning detail.

Last week Lady GaGa and Carine Roitfeld opted for risque looks from Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2010 collection, but Gwen Stefani opted for something less revealing.

The singer walked the red carpet with her husband wearing a white bustier with a black lace trim, paired with tapered pants from the same collection.

Sexy strappy sandals completed her look.

I keep looking at Zoe Saldana’s strapless Marchesa Spring 2010 tulle column gown with sequin detail and keep thinking that something is missing.

I think a waist band, either contrasting or the same colour of the gown would have given her more of a defined waist.

The actress carried a black Jenny Packham Lipstick clutch to complete her look.

I’m so thankful Carine Roitfeld removed all those OTT silver embellishments from her Balmain Spring 2009 as they were overkill.

The dress is much more appealing without all that bling, and I’m a girl who love a bit of bling.

Christian Louboutin Supra Fifre 120 thigh-high boots complete this effortless look.

Unlike most of the others on this red carpet, Kate Bosworth doesn’t really rock my world.

Her animal print Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 dress is nice enough, but she could’ve blown us away with much more interesting pieces from this collection.

I will always love how Rose McGowan always gives us va-va-voom.

Jessica Rabbit eat your heart own.

Rose’s red Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2009 gown is so sensual and divine.

Of course she adds a red lip to her look.

My only criticism is that she would have looked a hell of a lot better with her hair pulled back.

Fashionista Liz Goldwyn always likes to wear the unexpected.

Her fruity watermelon Sonia Rykiel Spring 2010 jumpsuit was paired with a dazzling pair of heels from the same collection.

Miuccia Prada makes her self designed Prada Spring 2010 dress more wearable, by adding a shirt dress under her chandelier-styled crystal embroidered dress.

Carey Mulligan was also wearing Prada, like so many others.

The Oscar hopeful donned a heavily embroidered Prada Spring 2010 dress paired with shoes with a clear heel from the same collection.

She just keeps getting it right. I predict hope she blows us away this coming Awards season.

One person who never lets me down on the red carpet is Marisa Tomei.

I’m just loving this burst of colour.

The actress wore a 1950s Jean Desses Haute Couture bubble-gum pink cocktail dress from Decades Inc.

Boucheron jewels and a Leiber purse complete this outstanding look.

This is one I will come back to drool over again and again.

Rachel Zoe opted for a one-shouldered Pucci gown

Ciara might have been wearing those fierce Christian Louboutin studded pigalle’s but the rest of her look is really disappointing.

When so many stepped outside the box, or wowed us with drama and colour Ciara’s look is very blah and uninspired.

Mr & Mrs Snoozeville were there also.

She was wearing Armani Prive.

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner attended “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” fan event at the Battersea Evolution in London this evening.

Kristen gave us the colour we were hoping praying for wearing a multi-coloured Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 ensemble.

I love the colour…can I just say that again I LOVE the colour.

The tie-dye top has a kind of reptile print feel to it, whilst the mini skirt is soft and feminine.

It’s the perfect mix of edgy and feminine to suit the actress who less comfortable in girly clothes.

I would like to say I love this look head-to-toe, but as usual I got a THUD at the feet.

The runway shoes would have been so cute don’t you think?

Favourite look so far and we have a long way to go.

The Late Show With David Letterman, New York

Arriving at the Ed Sullivan theater for her appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, Leighton Meester looked divine wearing a grey silk Lanvin Spring 2009 one-shoulder top with black high-waisted pants.

She paired her look with an Azzedine Alaia wide double layered belt, grey Christian Louboutin metallic ‘Ronda Dina’ platforms whilst carrying a grey Louis Vuitton Biseta clutch.

When Leighton departed the Ed Sullivan theater she had changed into a Proenza Schouler ivory jumpsuit, which was belted and had an exposed zipper.

You may recognise her stunning red Brian Atwood red pumps, which were featured in Graeme Black’s Spring 2010 presentation during London Fashion Week.

She also carried a Proenza Schouler Resort 2010 orange and black trimmed bag.

On The Gossip Girl Set, New York

We’ll have to wait until this episode airs, but I think under her robe Leighton is wearing the same Oscar de la Renta Fall 2009 gold and chestnut dress we saw on Anna Wintour recently.

Another day on set Leighton was spotted wearing a very expensive Oscar de la Renta embroidered stretch cashmere sweater with a cute fly away floral skirt.

Wearing a 3.1 Phillip Lim dress and a leather jacket, Leighton carried a Mulberry Daria leather satchel.

Whilst picking out some new thread with her stylist Logan Horne, Leighton looked very casual wearing a Riller and Fount top, with her Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony boots and a Current Elliott Sleeveless JJ vest.

All caught up on Leighton.  Kate Beckinsale and Rihanna to follow at some stage.

Thakoon

Ciara was easily one of my favourites at Fashion Week.

She looked so beautiful wearing a Thakoon wool crepe shift dress which had a contrast black chiffon lining and trim, paired with Louboutin pumps.

Donna Karan

Milla Jovovich’s striped Donna Karan Resort 2009 dress is so chic paired with silver pumps.

Altuzarra

I guess Altuzarra weren’t loaning out clothes for their star guests because Leighton Meester wore an eggplant Emilio de la Morena Fall 2009 dress with Proenza Schouler lace-up ankle boots…

…whilst Rachel McAdams wore a navy and white striped Boy by Band of Outsiders Spring 2010 skirt with a black top.

Charlotte Ronson

Jessica Stroup wore a flirty floral Charlotte Ronson Spring 2010 strapless dress which is so exclusive it wasn’t even seen in the Spring 2010 presentation.

She paired her dress with snake-skin strappy sandals.

Marc Jacobs

Lady GaGa wears the same Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 black cap sleeved dress embellished with jeweled stones, which Miss Piggy wore recently.

I wonder who the winner of that WWIB poll will be?

Tommy Hilfiger

I just love this red dress which Taylor Swift pairs with Stuart Weitzman black bow heels.

So vibrant.

Preen

Becki Newton wore a Preen Mixed Mono dress under a black blazer.

I would’ve loved to have seen this dress without the blazer to see more of its multi-print panel design.

Proenza Schouler

Leighton Meester doesn’t look to happy in her Proenza Schouler Resort 2010 ensemble and I don’t blame her.

Max Azria

Lucy Liu was elegant and classy as always wearing a cream fitted Max Azria dress.

Maggie Q’s Max Azria vibrant yellow dress really pops on her.

I love how she brings this strapless draped dress to life.

Pop magazine had a relaunch party in New York last week, where Dasha Zhukova made her first public appearance since she announced she was having her first baby with Billionaire boyfriend Roman Abramovich.

No one could id who the designer of her cute babydoll dress was - which cleverly covered her baby bump - but after the Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 show yesterday, it became clear that her dress was from that collection.

I’m very much on the fence with this look.

I love the colours and her lilac heels, but I have a lot of problems with the shape of the skirt which looks better on the model.

Although it’s cute, I’m not sure if it’s particularly flattering.

Dasha and Kristen Stewart so far are the only one’s lucky enough to wear a Spring 2010 look before the runway show.

For those who didn’t know WHITNEY’S BACK.

Yesterday her Whitney Houston’s highly-anticipated new album, “I Look To You” when on sale, and she made an appearance on “Good Morning America”.

This weekend singer was spotted leaving her trailer on her way to the set of her latest video shoot in New York.

She appears to have turned back the clock about 20 years, sporting a curly do whilst wearing the sequined version of the Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2009 dress we also saw Amber Valletta wear to the Women In Film’s 2009 Crystal and Lucy Awards.

The singer paired her dress with Sigerson Morrison boots and a huge smile.

Whitney graces the cover of Ebony Magazine’s October 2009 issue. She opens up about shedding her excess baggage and her rise and fall in the industry.

On her life journey and battles: “I shed a lot of stuff, a lot of unnecessary weight in the last three or four years. I left a lot of old luggage behind, and when I did, the blessings just started pouring on me, and the light in my spirit started to lift again.”

July 14th, 2009

In New York last night Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez - the Proenza Schouler designers - threw a fabulous party to celebrate the lauch of the 9th edition of ‘A Magazine’, which they created.

Fashion darling Chloe Sevigny was the guest of honour as she graces the cover.

The actress was wearing a leather jumpsuit from the Proenza Schouler Spring 2009 collection, without the sleeveless white shirt it was presented with on the runway.

I want to start off my saying I don’t like Chloe’s hair. Nearly every look of hers is let down by her hair. I’m dying for her to cut some kind of style into it.

I’m really surprised that Chloe opted out of the white shirt, as the look is more quirky with the shirt and looking quirky is very much her thing.

Overall I think I respect her for wearing a leather jumpsuit in summer and marginally pulling it off, more than liking the look itself.
