Greta Gerwig In Proenza Schouler – 2018 Writers Guild Awards LA Ceremony

While I was falling in love with Greta Gerwig’s Hollywood Reporter red carpet look, many of you were adding it to your WDOTY list.

So I’m wondering if we can mutually get on board with her Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 look from Sunday nights 2018 Writers Guild Awards LA ceremony.

I’m fully embracing how the classic ruffled fabrication is reworked with a contemporary twist thanks to the cut out top and fluted skirt.

A part of me was wishing for a neutral hued sandal, but my feeling is that would’ve felt too one note.

2018 SAG Awards Red Carpet Roundup

We always do our best to cover everyone, but a few slip through the net. Here is our final sweep of the red carpet for the 2018 SAG Awards.

Kate Nash: My first reaction to Kate in this Bora Aksu dress was, “yikes”, followed by “what on earth possessed you?” Too many frills, too prairie and too much going on; especially from the waist down. This was easily my least favourite of the night.

Niecy Nash: The actress, who was one of the presenters on the night, wore a gorgeous green-hued Julea Domani gown. As always Niecy leaves me spellbound, as she consistently picks the right looks to enhance her gorgeous figure.

Greta Gerwig In Proenza Schouler – 43rd Annual Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards

Greta Gerwig attended the 43rd Annual Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards on Saturday (January 13).

After a whimsical white ensemble at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards, the ‘Lady Bird’ director went for a darker mood in Proenza Schouler.

There is a sultry retro charm about the outfit that feels very authentic to her style.

The graphic floral print is the focal point, but it’s the details that make this special. The sliced waist with ribbon detailing exposes a hint of skin while adding a modern flair to the classic shape.

Her red lipstick and nail polish brought out the red accent in the print, harmonizing the look.

Riley Keough In Proenza Schouler – HBO Winter TCA 2018

Riley Keough attended the HBO Winter TCA 2018 on January 11, 2018 in Pasadena, California, where she promoted her upcoming flick ‘Fahrenheit 451’.

I love how her Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 blazer serves up a contemporary update on classic tailoring, and how the blazer embodies the brands clean-lined finesse in a longer silhouette to project androgynous aptitude, but I’m not crazy about the knit skirt.

This could’ve been a power pairing, but the skirt feels a bit limp in comparison to the blazer.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Proenza Schouler & Rosetta Getty – W Magazine “It Girl” Luncheon & TCA Winter Press Tour

Tracee Ellis Ross continues to delight and surprise on the red carpet. First, she participated in the W Magazine “It Girl” luncheon on Saturday (January 6) in Los Angeles. On Monday (January 8), she stepped out to celebrate the TCA Winter Press Tour 2018.

W Magazine “It Girl” Luncheon: The ‘Black-ish’ star certainly embodied the spirit of an It Girl with her Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 look. The soft coral ruffles of the knitted separates were toughened up by the black bra top. It was a bold statement, but her decorative black sandals brought everything together.

TCA Winter Press Tour: The actress showcased separates again, but she went for a more puritan approach with her Rosetta Getty Pre-Fall 2018 look. She enlivened the black and white number with golden yellow shoes and bold drop earrings. Never forgetting about beauty, she opted for a sleek updo to showcase her accessories.

2018 Golden Globe Awards Parties

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards were a study in many glamorous renditions of the colour black. And, for the most part, the Globes after parties followed suit with the hue taking on all measures of late-night allure.

Diane Kruger: After a regally glamorous entrance at the Globes, Diane was at the InStyle and Warner Bros. post-party, where she imbued black, cropped trousers with a bit of creamy lace in this Alexander McQueen Spring 2018 ensemble. I have a feeling that the tattered, asymmetrical effect of the lace bustier top will turn some away from the more experimental look.

Tessa Thompson: At HBO’s official after party in LA, Tessa suited up in an Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2017 Couture menswear-inspired look that delivered plenty of intriguing edge when styled with the MATEO jewelry and bauble-accented sandals. I was happy for the sheer shirting underneath to balance the boxier shape of the tuxedo blazer.

Nina Dobrev: The actress flaunted her toned abs at the InStyle party in this Ralph Lauren cutout gown. Even with the futuristic liquid-silver paneling, something about the look read a bit dated. Alexis Bittar choker completed her look.

Sienna Miller In Proenza Schouler – ‘Phantom Thread’ New York Premiere After-Party

Sienna Miller joined Zosia Mamet for the ‘Phantom Thread’ New York premiere on Monday (December 11).

Even with the bold floral print of her Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 top and skirt, it was the intense hue of her even bolder red lip that drew me into this look.

With the asymmetrical, ruffle peplum and front-slit skirt, there was a bohemian tinge here that we naturally wouldn’t find surprising on Sienna.

Do you wish she had opted for a less chunky shoe to provide a lighter touch to finish the ensemble?
