Models @ The 2015 Met Gala

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

The models also had their moment at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), some strutting to the beat of the theme better than others.

Karen Elson: One of the most extravagantly attired models, Karen truly embraced the ‘costume’ in the Costume Institute Benefit Gala in her Dolce & Gabbana ballgown spectacle featuring an ornately embellished and gilded bodice with matching cuffs, and an explosion of red tulle. Her elaborate gold headpiece also gave Sarah Jessica Parker’s own topper a bit of crown competition. This was the Chinese princess moment of the night.

Sofia Vergara In Marchesa – 2015 Met Gala

Sofia Vergara In Marchesa - 2015 Met Gala

Sofia Vergara also made her way around the red carpet of the 2015 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).

Not even a magnifying glass could help locate any measure of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ theme in the ‘Modern Family’ actress’s ballet-pink Marchesa strapless confection.

This was a Sofia gown through and through with all the trademarks of her signature style. The same goes for her beauty look consisting of long waves and sultry makeup tones.

Ethereal with its angelic chiffon layers and sparkling embellishment, the dress was beautiful yet oh so expected and rather uninspired for this occasion.

Naomi Watts In Marchesa – LACMA 50th Anniversary Gala

Naomi Watts In Marchesa - LACMA 50th Anniversary Gala
Naomi Watts attended LACMA’s 50th anniversary gala at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in California on Saturday (April 18) with her handsome partner, Liev Schreiber, by her side.

The actress wore a Marchesa Spring 2015 floral-embroidered halter gown that took on a lovely, graceful vibe with its wrap-front silhouette and subtle pastel shades.

Following the relaxed nature of the dress, she styled the look effortlessly with metallic Jimmy Choo ‘Sling’ sandals, loosely pulled-back locks and a soft-pink lip.

So, that is all more reason why I am still puzzled about that dark snakeskin Jimmy Choo ‘Ciggy’ clutch. It was the black eye on this rose-tinged look.

Olivia Palermo In Marchesa & Valentino – 9th Annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala & 2015 American Museum Of Natural History Museum Dance

Olivia Palermo In Marchesa & Valentino - 9th Annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala & 2015 American Museum Of Natural History Museum Dance

Olivia Palermo was lovely at back-to-back events on Thursday (April 16) and Friday (April 17) evenings in New York City.

9th Annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala: First up, the socialite wore a delightful Marchesa Spring 2015 confection for the gala at Cipriani, Wall Street. I love this look for its directional, cocoon-like silhouette and fanciful, allover floral and vine embroidery that was appropriately gypsy-glam for Olivia. Her styling added another layer of finesse with an amazing pair of blue statement earrings, strappy Aquazzura x Olivia Palermo sandals, and an embellished clutch.

2015 American Museum Of Natural History Museum Dance
: Donning another beautifully embroidered design at the museum dance, her Valentino Spring 2015 gown was whimsically covered in starfish. Another quintessential boho-chic ‘Olivia’ look, the dress has already been worn twice by both Shailene Woodley and Fan Bingbing. That said, Olivia contributed her own unique touch with a metallic handbag, and soft waves for an effortless finish.

Olivia Wilde In Marchesa – ‘Finding Neverland’ Opening Night

Olivia Wilde In Marchesa - 'Finding Neverland' Opening Night

Olivia Wilde attended the opening night of ‘Finding Neverland’ at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Wednesday (April 15) in New York City.

The actress was the embodiment of modern beauty, while paying homage to the ’20s era wearing a white fringe gown from Marchesa’s Fall 2015 collection, which was enhanced with purple and white 3D poppies.

This is the kind of dress could easily translate as too costume-y, but Olivia carries off the look with great aplomb.

Effortlessly styled with a silver Rauwolf clutch and white Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, sweeping her hair back allows the dress to be centre stage.
