Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Menswear Roundup

Here’s a quick look at the fellas taking to the red carpet last night.

Tinie Tempah: The rapper and FROW regular attended the PRISM x Disturbing London Collection launch in London yesterday evening. Looking as sharp as always, Tinie wore a Burberry Tailoring mauve blazer, white shirt and sleek maroon tie, keeping his trousers stylishly (in his eyes at the very least) short, as always. Black loafers and his BFC (British Fashion Council) pin rounded out his look. It may be a familiar format, but the colourways and fits do differ keeping this look fresh and interesting.

Robert Pattinson: The British actor made a guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’. It appears that the male Dior ambassadors, aren’t held to the same expectations as the women, as Rob wore a Gucci burgundy notch lapel two button Signoria suit paired with an unbuttoned printed Louis Vuitton shirt for a more laid-back feel.

Stephen Moyer: While many guys are delighting with their colourful choices on the red carpet of late, the British actor stuck to black, selecting an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture two-button notched-lapel suit. A wise choice for the ‘True Blood’ premiere, which he attended with his wife Anna Paquin. He styled his look with a Jennifer Meyer earring and Christian Louboutin ‘Trepeter’ flats.

Yao Chen 姚晨 In Gucci - Huayi Brothers 20th Anniversary Celebrations

Yao Chen attended the Huayi Brothers 20th anniversary celebrations in Hainan Province, China on Saturday (June 7), which started with a handprint ceremony.

The gorgeous Chinese actress wore a mustard-coloured Gucci Fall 2014 mini dress featuring a leather criss-cross bodice and a crepe A-line skirt.

Her pretty look was styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Pina Spike’ ankle-strap peep-toes and Pomellato jewels.

While I love the dress and the edge given to it via the heels, the jewellery doesn’t work for me here. The pieces don’t blend well or complement the look in any way for me.

You may remember that Charlotte Casiraghi wore this same dress last week in blue with far less fussy accessories.

Florence Welch In Gucci - Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair 2014

Florence Welch attended the Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair 2014 in Brick Lane on Sunday (June 8) in London, England.

The singer attended the low-key event wearing head-to-toe Gucci.

Channelling ’70s boho luxe, as per, she wore a Gucci Resort 2014 wrap dress with a pair of black Gucci ankle-strap sandals with the signature horsebit detail, plus her can’t-live-without Gucci ‘Nouveau’ red python fringe shoulder bag that we saw her carrying last week.

Methinks this bag will continue to have many more outings.

The look was topped off with circular shades and just-out-of-bed tresses.

Menswear Weekend Roundup

The past few days were packed with a range of menswear looks, heavy on the formal tux angle with a few more colourful options thrown in for good measure. Here, a look at the weekend’s handsome set of guys.

Zachary Quinto: A presenter at the 68th annual Tony Awards, the actor dressed for the occasion in a Thom Sweeney three-piece, black wool tuxedo, paired with a white cotton dress shirt and black silk bow tie. David Yurman black onyx shirt studs pulled the look together with an added note of polish.

Djimon Hounsou: Bringing a breath of fresh blue to the red carpet of the ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ Los Angeles premiere, Djimon wore his beautifully hued Calvin Klein Collections suit with equally well-styled accessories, including an incredible pair of navy Christian Louboutin loafers, Martin Katz cufflinks, and a Montblanc timepiece.

Daniel Radcliffe
: In attendance at the Tony Awards supporting his play, ‘The Cripple of Inishmaan,’ Daniel was dapper in an Ermenegildo Zegna Made-to-Measure one-button, satin peak-lapel tuxedo in midnight navy—a great departure from the traditional black colour. A matching bow tie, white dress shirt, and KG Kurt Geiger ‘Anton’ shoes finished the look.
