Isabelle Huppert In Gucci – Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Isabelle Huppert attended the 32nd Santa Barbara International Film Festival in on Wednesday (February 8) where she picked up the Montecito Award.

The French actress wore a striking Gucci Pre-Fall 207 gown with a colour-blocked box clutch.

Clearly, the Academy Award nominee plans to be a fashion force this award season, and this is a lovely entry into her award season fashion log.

If you were to verbally describe this gown to someone with no accompanied image, they would likely think you were crazy, but somehow, the colour-blocking, the top-to-bottom sequins and the floral and ‘Loved’ detailing on the bodice all work together for a harmonious gown that Isabelle brings to life brilliantly.

She even takes the bold look a step forward with her shimmery emerald-green heels and rosey-hued clutch.

I love this look, and I’m excited to see what she wears next. What about you?

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Preen & Gucci – Berlinale International Film Festival

Maggie Gyllenhaal has been making the rounds at the 67th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, where she’s recently attended a press conference, photo call, and the ‘Django’ premiere on Wednesday (February 8) and Thursday (February 9).

Jury Press Conference
: The actress channeled her inner flower child in a Preen Resort 2017 dress, toughened up with black boots. There was a lot of print here, but the ruched shaping helped manage the silhouette.

Jury Photo Call
: The flower power continued in a Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 frock that fully embraced Maggie’s love of a bohemian style spirit. That bright pink bow was just the right happy finish for this exploded print.

‘Django’ Premiere
: The rich boho vibe continued at the premiere, where she again wore a Gucci gown. Given the highly decorative embroidery and the powder pink colour, this was not an easy-to-wear look, but she carried it off beautifully with this attention-commanding entrance.

Dakota Johnson In Gucci – ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Madrid Premiere

Dakota Johnson attended ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ (Cincuenta Sombras Mas Oscuras) premiere at the Kinepolis cinema on Wednesday (February 8, 2017) in Madrid, Spain.

We knew a Gucci gown would make an appearance during this promo tour, but did you expect this ruffled soft-rose Pre-Fall 2017 gown?

Perhaps yes, as Alessandro Michele’s Gucci girl is all about retro glam which this look possesses in abundance.

My first thought was, “why didn’t she wear her hair up?”, but the slightly tousled, unkempt natural look perfectly embodies the relaxed vibe she was going for.

I think a updo would’ve been unnecessarily fussy here.

Mariah Carey In Gucci – ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ LA Premiere

Mariah Carey brought her precious son and daughter, Moroccan Scott and Monroe, to the premiere of ‘The LEGO Batman Movie

Taking her look into total cool-mom territory, the music icon put on the glitz in a Gucci Resort 2017 bomber jacket that was perfectly fun and playful.

And while her skinny jeans were painted on, I really had no problem with the ensemble until I saw the silver platform heels. Even going barefoot would have been better.

Bárbara Lennie In Gucci – 2017 Goya Awards

Spain’s own version of the Oscars, the 2017 Goya Awards, were hosted on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid, with Spanish actress Bárbara Lennie in attendance.

She swept across the red carpet in a Gucci Spring 2017 layered tulle gown. It’s not a dress that’s easily forgotten, so you may remember that Sienna Miller wore the same one just a few weeks ago.

However, despite the quirky sensibility of the look, there’s something whimsically enticing about the clash of the pastel blue and bright yellow colour palette topped off with the sweetness of the embellished bow. So, I didn’t mind seeing it get a second entrance.

Plus, it was interesting to see the gown take on a slightly more dramatic tone with Bárbara’s jet-black locks and icy blue earrings.

Dakota Johnson In Gucci – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

I’m excited that we’ll get to see a lot more of Dakota Johnson in the coming weeks as she promotes her latest movie, ‘Fifty Shades Darker’.

The actress made a guest appearance on Jimmy Fallon last night (January 31), where she wore a light-as-air Gucci chiffon dress in a cheery red hue.

I love how the layering tempers the sheerness and the black accents provide some balance to the bohemian feel.

What can we expect to see Dakota wearing during the rest of this promo tour?

Gucci, Gucci and perhaps some more Gucci, as Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele has selected Dakota alongside model Hari Nef and artist, director, and photographer Petra Collins, for a secret project which is set to be revealed this spring.

The look was styled with Frances Valentine sandals.

Nicole Kidman In Gucci – 2017 SAG Awards

Nicole Kidman attended the 2017 SAG Awards in LA on Sunday (January 29).

The ‘Lion’ actress, who is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for the film, was the main attraction on the red carpet. But was it for the right reasons?

Nicole, historically, gets it really right or really wrong, but we’re not sure where to place this Gucci dress. The parrot detail on the shoulders are slightly too costume, the green washes her out, and we’re not even sure if we like the drape cut of this dress either.

So what’s right with it? Her hair and makeup for starters, and the plunging neckline, and the fact that we never have to see it again maybe?

Are you thumbs up, or thumbs down with this look?

Salma Hayek In Gucci – 2017 SAG Awards

Salma Hayek attended the 2017 SAG Awards in LA on Sunday (January 29).

She chose to wear this canary yellow Gucci gown which was a breath of fresh air to this red carpet, which up to this point was awash with sequins and dark colours.

It’s no surprise really that Salma chose Gucci, it’s one brand she stays loyal to, and this was head and shoulders better than her Gucci faux pas from earlier this week.

The yellow is a great colour on her – her olive complexion sets it off perfectly, and the pink is a lovely contrast too. We could have lost either the corsage or the sash though… the pink edge of the ruffle was enough.

Colourful Irene Neuwirth earrings finished her look.
