Celebrities at the LACMA’s David Geffen Galleries Opening Gala
LACMA celebrated the opening of its David Geffen Galleries, bringing together celebrities to mark a significant moment for arts and culture in Los Angeles. The gala supported LACMA’s initiatives to celebrate local and global artists, engage and inspire broad audiences, and honour the cultural richness of our communities.

Peaked Too Early?
With Cannes Film Festival just under a month away, I’m glad to see that Eva Longoria is already in gala-gown form. Let’s hope I don’t find myself saying that she should have saved this pink sequined, strapless, fringed look for the Croisette, because it certainly has that level of impact.

Flared Formality
A tux with flares? Yep. BamBam is wearing Louis Vuitton’s signature menswear tailoring as an LVM ambassador, with the red pocket square punctuating the all-black look with a sharp flash of colour that keeps it feeling rebelliously on brand for the rapper.

A Couple In Step
Alicia Keys in a Pamella Roland Spring 2026 halter gown isn’t what I typically expect from her style-wise, but I do appreciate how the tone complements the sandy palette of Swizz Beatz’s Saint Laurent suit. Even with the black leather tie, I still don’t think those black shoes quite land here #NoMorePasses.

More Is More
I’m curious where G-Dragon started here; the pink Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann jacket or the polka-dot trousers. Even though my instinct is to say the fringe scarf and clutch push it too far, there’s no question he’s selling every element of it.

All Black All Of The Time
Gabbriette wore a slinky black Gucci Pre-Fall 2026 halter gown, delivering exactly the kind of pared-back, sultry aesthetic that has become her signature. This look was previously worn by Demi Moore.

Our Expectations Were Already Low
Am I surprised by how bad Heidi Klum looks here in Dsquared? Not really. This feels like she just threw on a sheer dress layered over a bodysuit, finished with a bolero, and called it a day. As always, this is a classic case of, just when you think it can’t dip any further, she proves otherwise; she always does.

High-Impact Minimalism
Kim Petras kept things sleek in Gucci Pre-Fall 2026, leaning into minimalism, but it’s the thigh-high slit that delivers the real impact, cutting through the simple silhouette and giving the look its edge.

Lace And Volume
Olivia Jade wore an Elie Saab Fall 2026 gown where the sultry lace bodice was weighed down by that heavy velvet peplum.

A Surprising Turn
Usually, I’m a hard no when it comes to Paris Hilton in darker tones, but she’s tapped into something different here with this Gucci Pre-Fall 2026 black sequin gown. The one-sleeve design nods to her ’00s era, so that is probably why it works in her favour.

Nope
While I appreciate that Sharon Stone stepped away from her expected Dolce & Gabbana, I’m not sold this Falguni Shane Peacock dress, it does nothing for her. I would keep the statement necklace and start again.
