Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Anna Wintour attended HBO’s ‘In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye’ screening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City yesterday evening.

The editor-in-chief of American Vogue wore a custom Calvin Klein dress designed by Francisco Costa.

This geranium-coloured cashmere sleeveless shift dress with a flared skirt is very much a signature look for Ms Wintour.

What is shocking here is that she’s not wearing her Manolo Blahnik kitten heels. Yes, it is winter, but I was beginning to think those heels were super-glued to her feet.

Her favourite beaded necklace and signature bob come as no surprise, however.

Cameron Silver joined a host of celebrities at The Hollywood Palladium to honour Katy Perry at the ‘Trevor Live’ event in California on Sunday evening.

The owner of Decades Inc. selected a Calvin Klein Fall 2012 suit for the occasion.

Never one to fade into the background, the kaleidoscope-print suit was styled with a Valentino denim tux shirt and Alexander McQueen metallic loafers.

Cameron has been sporting this silver hair colour for a while now, so he didn’t just dye it to match his suit.

James Van Der Beek attended the DETAILS Hollywood Mavericks Party, held at the Soho House in LA yesterday evening.

The ‘Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23’ actor wore a Calvin Klein suit on this occasion.

His nutmeg suit with a white pocket square was styled with an open-neck dress shirt and brown lace-up shoes.

Should James have completed his look with a tie? Or do you think this look works perfectly without it?

Christy Turlington attended the special screening of ‘The Fitzgerald Family Christmas’ at Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City last night with hubby Edward Burns.

The model wore a Calvin Klein Fall 2012 dress.

Her navy textured dress, with an A-line skirt and plunging neckline, was styled with black tights and black ankle boots.

Given the nature of the low-key screening, I think I can give the model a pass on the tight-and-ankle-boots combo on this occasion.

She looks stunning nonetheless.

John Krasinski looked very handsome alongside his wife Emily Blunt on the red carpet at the 2012 Gotham Independent Film Awards, held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City last night.

He also opted to wear Calvin Klein donning a grey suit style with a white dress shirt, blue stripey tie and black patent lace up shoes.

What a truly adorable couple they are.

Emily Blunt attended the 2012 Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City last night, where she served as the presenter for the ‘Breakthrough Actor Award’.

Honouring one of the hosts for the night, the British actress wore a Calvin Klein Resort 2013 dress.

The dress originally took to the runway with a sheer overlay and I think with good reason because there is nothing I like about this dress.

Emily’s strapless version with cut-out details does nothing for her. Even with the cinched in waist the look is still horribly flat and unflattering.

We all know Emily can do much better than this. From the neck up she looks gorgeous, especially with the golden tan and light blonde highlights, but this look gets a no from me.

A Lorraine Schwartz yellow-diamond mesh and golden pearl necklace, a 20 carat yellow diamond ring, a Christian Louboutin clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Vamp’ sandals completed her look.

Love or loathe?

You can buy Emily’s Jimmy Choo ‘Vamp’ sandals from Jimmy Choo US,Jimmy Choo UK and Saks.com.
