Rosamund Pike In Alexander McQueen – 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala

Rosamund Pike In Alexander McQueen - 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala

Rosamund Pike made a swift return to the red carpet for the 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala held at Palm Springs Convention Center on Saturday (January 3) in Palm Springs, California, having given birth to her son last month.

Sticking to the same trapeze silhouette she favoured during the ‘Gone Girl’ promo tour last year, the actress selected this pretty silk floral jacquard dress from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2014 collection.

The uber-short frock, which showcases plenty of leg, was simply styled with Brian Atwood ‘Melly’ sandals and a slick of fuchsia lip colour.

Do you deem this dress to be too short?

Brie Larson In Alexander McQueen – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Brie Larson In Alexander McQueen - The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Brie Larson was spotted making her way to a studio in New York City on Friday (December 19) for her guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ to promote her latest movie ‘The Gambler’.

The actress wore an Alexander McQueen mixed houndstooth-print design with a gently flared skirt featuring bright contrast flowers that bloom at the hem.

Enlivening those blooms further, they were complemented by a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Rosing’ pumps, a dual-colour Khirma New York ‘Oxy’ in blue python and a chic Adeam black coat slung over her shoulders.

You may remember that Elizabeth Banks wore the same dress earlier this year, opting not to wear the chic look with a belt.

Do Brie’s belt and blue accessories enhance this look for you?

Carey Mulligan In Alexander McQueen – ASMALLWORLD’s 10th Anniversary Winter Weekend Gala Benefit

Carey Mulligan In Alexander McQueen - ASMALLWORLD's 10thAnniversary Winter Weekend Gala Benefit

ASMALLWORLD’s 10th anniversary Winter Weekend, hosted by Sabine Heller and Patrick Liotard-Vogt, incorporated a swanky gala benefit for War Child hosted by the Carey Mulligan in Gstaad, Switzerland on Saturday (December 13).

As you know I have been slightly frustrated by Carey’s style of late, so you could’ve knocked me down with a feather upon sight of the British actress wearing this Alexander McQueen Resort 2015 gown.

For someone like Carey who has such a simple, minimalist style, this leopard print choice was not expected; or even dreamed about.

I just love the structured of the pink and burgundy gown, although I wish the Stella McCartney clutch was a touch more complementary.

Beauty wise she opted for a natural flawless look which included a glossy pink lip. (Regular readers will know this is a big deal for Carey).

I’m delighted to see Carey has regained her red carpet mojo. I just hope it lasts.

Are you as easily pleased as I am?

First Annual Diamond Ball for the Clara Lionel Foundation Red Carpet Roundup

First Annual Diamond Ball for the Clara Lionel Foundation Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the rest of the attendees who supported the First Annual Diamond Ball presented by Rihanna for The Clara Lionel Foundation and held at The Vineyard on Thursday (December 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

Salma Hayek: The actress wore a fully accommodating gown on this occasion, enlivening the red carpet wearing a fuchsia-pink animal-print short-sleeve Aelexander McQueen Resort 2015 gown with a draped detail cascading from the jewelled accent at her waist. Between the colour, her stunning figure and her tumbling curls, I love this from head to toe.

Tia Mowry-Hardrict: Bringing a touch of drama to this red carpet, the gorgeous actress wore an Edward Arsouni black gown defined by a luxe satin draped bodice, lace sleeves and floor-sweeping crepe skirt. Adding a touch of bling – this was the Diamond Ball after all – she added diamond drop earrings to her beautiful look.

Nikki Reed: Going down the partly sheer route, Nikki Reed styled her patterned Shona Joy LBD with simple black pumps and a large envelope clutch.

Models @ The 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After-Party

Models @ The 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show After-Party

Aside from Taylor Swift’s after-party look, there wasn’t much to shout about on the red carpet at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held at London’s Earls Court on Tuesday (December 2) which had a distinct black or white theme.

Karlie Kloss: Standing out for its non-revealing nature was Karlie Kloss’s look. The figure-hugging silhouette and sexy slit worked in an artful juxtaposition with the demure high neck and almost Victorian bow to the neckline of the Alexander McQueen dress, which was styled with a skull-clasp clutch.

Alessandra Ambrosio: Too tight and so tacky. That pretty much sums up my feelings about this ridiculous yet expected Balmain Spring 2015 look. A sure contender for WDOTY.

Candice Swanepoel: Also taking the revealing route was Candice, whose Zuhair Murad white floral embroidered sheer long-sleeve Spring 2015 gown left precious little to the imagination.

Julianne Moore In Alexander McQueen – L’Oreal Paris’ 9th Annual Women Of Worth Celebration

Julianne Moore In Alexander McQueen - L'Oreal Paris' 9th Annual Women Of Worth Celebration

Julianne Moore attended L’Oreal Paris’s 9th annual Women Of Worth Celebration held at The Pierre Hotel on Tuesday (December 2) in New York City.

Lining up this Alexander McQueen Fall 2014 black gown against her last Givenchy look, this is a huge improvement. Frankly, a bin liner would’ve been a huge improvement, so thank God she went the McQueen route.

Accentuating a slender and refined silhouette with discreetly alluring elements such as ruffled trims, this Alexander McQueen gown is classically graceful and time-transcending.

Styled with a black- and gold-tone McQueen clutch, we can all breathe a huge sigh of relief that the Givenchy look didn’t signal a downward spiral.
