Dakota Johnson In Alexander McQueen – ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ London Premiere

Following the ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Madrid premiere, Dakota Johnson’s next stop was London this evening (February 9).

The actress wore an Alexander McQueen Spring 21017 gown which was equal parts romantic and equal parts moody.

Usually a lined gown loses some of its appeal, however, in this case the feeling is quite the opposite; as it provides a canvas in which the sea creatures design really comes alive.

One again the nonchalant elegance is really working for me here as she appears so effortless.

Kim Basinger In Vintage Alexander McQueen – ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ LA Premiere

Kim Basinger joined a host of stars including Dakota Johnson, Rita Ora, Bella Heathcote, Halsey and Marcia Gay Harden for the LA premiere of ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ on Thursday (February 2).

The actress, who plays the business partner and former lover of the sadistic protagonist Christian Grey, wore a vintage Alexander McQueen gown.

I love the fluid silhouette and classic nature of this look. She wasn’t trying to compete, as she is in a league of her own.

Leslie Mann In Alexander McQueen – ‘Girls’ Season 6 New York Premiere

Leslie Mann attended the New York premiere of the sixth and final season of ‘Girls’ on Thursday (February 2).

While I’m still missing colour from Leslie, there is no doubt that she makes an eye-catching entrance in Alexander McQueen.

Inspired from British folk art and wallpaper, the floral off-the-shoulder top is stylish, standout piece which is tempered with sleek trousers.

Ruby Rose In Alexander McQueen – ‘John Wick: Chapter Two’ LA Premiere

Ruby Rose attended the premiere of ‘John Wick: Chapter Two’ on Monday (January 30) in Hollywood, California.

You weren’t fans of her recent Vionnet gown, however, I am confident this Alexander McQueen look will be welcomed more favourably as she serves up masculine tailoring with a female heart.

From the body chains, to the harnesses on the trousers to opting to go sans blouse, this look is achingly cool and so much more in tune with her style.

The only other person I see pulling of this look with equal aplomb is Evan Rachel Wood.

Emma Stone In Alexander McQueen – 2017 SAG Awards

Emma Stone was among the many stars at the 2017 SAG Awards in LA on Sunday (January 29).

The ‘La La Land’ star wore an Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2017 gown with simple but colorful jewels.

The dual personality of this gown took a moment for me to digest. It is certainly quite McQueen in nature, albeit with a slightly softer touch than sometimes, and Emma, with her sense of humor and pluck manages to pull it off beautifully.

That said, I feel fairly certain that I would hate it on most other people!

What do you think? Is the look fabulous, or do you only approve because it’s on Emma?

Reese Witherspoon In Atelier Versace, Alexander McQueen & David Koma – 2017 Golden Globe Awards, 2017 Winter TCA Tour & ELLE’s Women in Television

Reese Witherspoon was on the same event track as Nicole Kidman, attending the 2017 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 8) followed by the 2017 Winter TCA Press Tour and then ELLE’s Annual Women in Television Celebration.

2017 Golden Globe Awards: The actress, and one of the evening’s presenters, wore a canary-yellow Atelier Versace strapless gown featuring a high side slit and bustle back. If you are having a moment of déjà vu, you may be remembering Reese in yellow at the Golden Globes 10 years ago. Even with the yellow diamond jewelry from Tiffany & Co., this look still came across as more suitable for a pageant stage.

2017 Winter TCA Tour: Again having fun with vibrant hues, she wore a deep tangerine Alexander McQueen fit and flare frock that was equal parts adorable and sophisticated, especially with her chicly matched lipstick. She definitely stood out on stage—for all the right reasons—when she spoke on behalf of her limited HBO series, ‘Big Little Lies.’

ELLE’s Women in Television: Ending her colour streak, she still kept things interesting with this David Koma black dress embellished with a dimensional, white chain link motif.
