Most Consistent 2013 – Diane Kruger

The reigning queen of consistency is none other than Diane Kruger—for the second year in a row. After impressing in 2012, the German actress and former model, who is a designer’s dream girl, has continued her unwaveringly reliable chic streak.

No matter the event or gala she’s gracing, she can be counted on to deliver dynamic looks that hardly ever miss the mark.

The unique thing about Diane is that she doesn’t really have a defining style—nor is she afraid to smartly push the boundaries in the most elegant way possible.

She can just as easily transition from the classic splendor of Chanel, Marchesa and Valentino to edgier, fashion-forward exits from labels including Cushnie et Ochs, Jonathan Saunders, Mary Katrantzou and Prabal Gurung.

When it comes to Diane, consistency takes on a bold attitude that is most certainly not boring.

Diane Kruger In Valentino Couture - European Film Awards 2013

Diane Kruger attended the European Film Awards 2013 held in Berlin, Germany on Saturday evening.

The German actress is used to topping the best-dressed list, but there is something about this Valentino Fall 2013 Couture offering which is failing to excite.

Considering this is an embellished Couture piece, the hairs on the back of my neck should be standing up. But, I find the embroidery a tad busy and I’m not a fan of the restrictive shoulder detailing or the sheer skirt-panty reveal.

Perhaps I would’ve been more enamoured with this look had it been sleeveless, or maybe because it is Diane I am trying force myself to like it…but it’s a no from me.

Natalie Portman was your runaway winner this week, leaving the competition in the shade of her Christian Dior Couture gown. Some of you likened her to a modern-day Audrey Hepburn, such was your admiration for how graceful she looked in this gown.

My favourite was Diane Kruger in Chanel Couture.

Simplifying the runway look, plus her effortless styling, won me over.

Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture - Chanel Little Black Jacket Brazil Event

Diane Kruger was back on the red carpet yesterday evening, this time in Sao Paulo, Brazil for Chanel’s Little Black Jacket event.

The German actress received mixed reactions from you guys for her three looks last week, and her ‘can-do-no-wrong’ title appeared to be slipping.

However, I have a feeling she will storm back in your favour wearing this strapless Chanel Spring 2013 Couture black dress with colourful floral appliqués and a red leather waistband.

As always the look is infinitely more youthful and fresh on the red carpet once you remove the matching bolero and you pair down the styling to simple black strappy Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, wavy side-swept tresses and flawless makeup.

Diane Kruger In Emilia Wickstead - Autism Speaks' Third Annual Blue Jean Ball

Diane Kruger and her handsome beau Joshua Jackson attended the Autism Speaks’ 3rd Annual ‘Blue Jean Ball’ held at Boulevard 3 in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

The blonde beauty picked a powder-pink Emilia Wickstead Fall 2013 pearl-embellished silk-blend tuxedo ‘Jamie’ dress with a ‘60s-inspired silhouette.

Usually one to create her own style statements; on this occasion she emulated the runway by teaming her frock with scarlet-red pumps along with a Charlotte Olympia ‘Pandora’ Perspex clutch with a red pouch and a blue Autism Speaks pin.

A centre-parted bun and flame red lips -  a rare touch for Diane – completed her look.

Diane has has three great looks this week.

Which would you like to see up for BDOTW?

The Cushnie Et Ochs, the Marchesa or this pink confection?
