Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Menswear Roundup

Here is a quick menswear roundup.

Bradley Cooper: Joining a host of lovely ladies on the red carpet at the 2013 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, the actor continued his impeccable red carpet run wearing a classic Tom Ford suit. While the likes of Adam Lambert continue to pique my interesting with off-beat suits, there is nothing quite like a traditional suit and bow tie that is guaranteed to make me swoon.

David Gandy: The handsome model joined Kylie Minogue at Dolce & Gabbana’s Bond Street store for their London Collections: Men Event. Smouldering, as he does, David wore a Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit with a luxe velvet blazer with satin lapels styled with a grey tie and brown shoes for an interesting twist.

Michael B Jordan: The actor, who still needs to work on his red carpet pose, attended the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s 8th Annual Kirk Douglas Award For Excellence In Film Gala on Sunday (January 5) in Santa Barbara, California wearing a shawl-collar-lapel Hugo Boss suit with Christian Louboutin ‘New Platers’ flats.

Idris Elba: The British actor joined his ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ co-star, Naomie Harris, on the red carpet for the 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala also wearing a traditional suit and bow tie. He also wore Louboutins; opting for the tassel accented ‘Dada’ flats.

Best Dressed Of The Week - Rooney Mara In Lanvin & Bradley Cooper In Vivienne Westwood & Todd Snyder

For the second week in a row, we picked the same best dressed.

As much as I was longing to give this win to Anna Kendrick, Rooney Mara’s Lanvin white sculptural gown was breathtaking: the only look to give me goosebumps this week.

Bradley Cooper’s Vivienne Westwood Man/Todd Snyder rugged sexy grey winter look stood out for me even though blue seemed to be the menswear trend of last week.

"American Hustle" Cast Photo CallOn Sunday, the ‘American Hustle’ cast congregated at the Crosby Stereet Hotel in New York City on Sunday for a photo call, where they didn’t exactly coordinate their looks, instead working an eclectic sartorial mix of outfits.

Amy Adams: Modishly monochromatic, the actress kept her look straightforward but sexy in an Antonio Berardi Resort 2014 v-neck dress that featured figure-shaping black side panels and a white waistband for definition. She styled the frock simply with black pumps, neutral makeup and a volume-enhanced blowout.

Christian Bale: The actor, who accessorized with a good bit of scruff, was casual-cool in a black button-up, slouchy jeans and slightly faded shoes.

Jennifer Lawrence: Once again eschewing Dior, Jennifer looked radiant in an Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 knit embossed dress in an incredible shade of intense blue, paired with a few well-placed yet minimal jewels by Dana Rebecca Designs, a ring by EF Collection, and the boldly pretty pop of her magenta lip. Ordinarily, I might object to the black tights and black pumps, but on this occasion, they just let the dress take top billing, as it should. She stood out like a style star here, among her more neutrally clad co-stars.

Bradley Cooper: Bradley was apparently donning his same Todd Snyder plaid shirt from the ‘American Hustle’ NYC after party, this time wearing it with dark denim.

Jeremy Renner: Keeping the guys’ informal theme going strong, Jeremy put on a pair of J Brand ‘Kane’ jeans, which he dressed up with a navy topcoat, then dressed down with a well-worn pair of black boots.

Bradley Cooper In Todd Snyder, Tommy Hilfiger and Vivienne Westwood - 'American Hustle' New York Promo TourBradley Cooper made the rounds this past weekend in New York City, as he promoted his new film, ‘American Hustle.’ He rocked appropriately dapper, cold-weather looks. But, let’s face it, one flash of those baby blues was all he really needed. Luckily, his ensembles only enhanced those eyes.

‘American Hustle’ New York Screening After Party: For Friday’s after party at the Monkey Bar, the actor buttoned up in a sharp, navy Tommy Hilfiger trench coat. Underneath, he was lumberjack-handsome in a red-and-navy plaid Todd Snyder shirt, khaki-coloured Diesel chinos and Red Wing boots.

‘American Hustle’ New York Screening: At the screening, held Sunday at the Ziegfeld Theatre, Bradley showed even more sartorial flair in his Vivienne Westwood Man steely-grey overcoat with a contrasting brown fur collar. Once he removed the coat, he looked just as cool in a Todd Snyder charcoal-grey flannel suit, worn with a white dress shirt and blue-striped tie, along with the same Red Wing boots for a casual edge.

Gerard Butler & Bradley Cooper - Wimbledon Men’s Final

It wasn’t just the women who were sitting pretty while attending the Men’s Singles Final between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London on Sunday afternoon; the guys looked pretty handsome too.

Gerard Butler: The Scottish actor cheered on his fellow countryman wearing a slick Hugo Boss suit. The look featured a chambray blazer, white shirt and white trousers styled with a navy tie, polka-dot pocket square and brown shoes. I’m struggling to love the brown shoes. Navy or some loafers would’ve been preferred.

Bradley Cooper: The American actor opted for a more classic look, wearing various shades of grey including a two-button notched-lapel suit and a striped tie, with black lace-up shoes providing the finishing touches.

Bradley Cooper In Vivienne Westwood MAN - ‘The Hangover Part III’ Paris Premiere

Bradley Cooper joined co-star Heather Graham on the red carpet at the Cinema UGC Normandie in France for the Paris premiere of ‘The Hangover III’ or, as they call it in France, ‘Very Bad Trip 3’.

The actor, who appears to be growing his beard out again, wore a Vivienne Westwood MAN suit.

His two-button charcoal suit styled with a white dress shirt and black tie was accessorized with tan lace-up shoes, when black would’ve been the more obvious choice.

Should he have gone with the obvious choice?
