Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

It’s time to check in on those men that have been out and about at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival over the past few days.

Robert Pattinson: At the ‘High Life’ premiere, Robert wore a Dior Men by Kim Jones Spring 2019 three-piece suit that had quite the dandy demeanor, especially with the floral dress shirt.

Kit Harington: Looking quite formal, Kit was polished in a Givenchy tuxedo at the ‘The Death and Life of John F. Donovan’ premiere.

Mahershala Ali: Sometimes we roll our eyes at sunglasses on the red carpet, but on this occasion, his Jimmy Choo shades really added some fun, quirky edge to this Ermenegildo Zegna Couture cropped suit at the ‘Green Book’ premiere. That teal pocket square did, too.

‘A Star Is Born’ Venice Film Festival Premiere Menswear

‘A Star Is Born’ Venice Film Festival Premiere Menswear

It wasn’t only the ladies who were making an impact on the red carpet for the Venice Film Festival premiere for ‘A Star Is Born’ on Friday (August 31), these two gents – plus Tonya Lewis Lee – were too.

Tonya Lewis Lee: The film producer was serving up ’40s elegance in Attico’s Fall 2018 shimmering silver gown with some extra sparkle added to the mix with her Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

Spike Lee: Never one to hit the red carpet without some form of headwear, I have to say his Yankees hat did kinda work well in coordination with the patriotic red, white and blue theme of his Gucci look.

Bradley Cooper: Even with the rain skimming off his Gucci contrast lapel navy suit, the man still looks untouchable and impossibly handsome. This is movie star magic right here.

Bradley Cooper In Prada – ‘A Star Is Born’ Venice Film Festival Photocall

Bradley Cooper In Prada - ‘A Star Is Born’ Venice Film Festival Photocall

Bradley Cooper was looking finger licking good at the ‘A Star Is Born’ photocall during the 2018 Venice Film Festival earlier today (August 31) in Italy, alongside Lady Gaga.

Esteemed Italian brand Prada was the choice for this occasion.

I love how Prada demonstrates an aptitude for sleek tailoring with this mohair suit .

Impeccably crafted, this slim-fit two-piece has a rich grey hue, handsomely offset by black buttons and brown shoes

The notch lapels and pressed creases give it a classic look, while the barely seen printed tie adds some character.

I’m confident Mr Cooper will be looking equally as sharp in a tux tonight alongside his girlfriend Irina Shayk.

Models @ 2018 Met Gala

Naturally, the models were out in force for the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) in New York City. Here’s what these ‘heavenly bodies’ had on.

Ashley Graham: Channeling a bronzed goddess moment, the model donned an Atelier Prabal Gurung sequin-encrusted gown that introduced a dramatic, Met-ready sensibility with the long, satin-edged cape. The leg jut was put to work, with Taski jewels and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals completing the look.

Bella Hadid: I’m sure many will be raising their hands in praise that Bella opted for something a bit more covered than her naked bodysuit from last year’s Met Gala. This custom Chrome Hearts x Gareth Pugh design riffed on sinner and saint with the dark glamour of the latex corset and sculptural, villainous cape and fingerless gloves. This would have been all bad-girl were it not for the cross necklace and cross-embroidered veil that trailed behind her.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

At the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ LA premiere on Monday (April 23), the men scored as many fashion points as the ladies. The gents joined Zoe SaldanaKaren Gillan, Brie Larson and Letitia Wright.

Tom Holland: The ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ actor punctuated a Joshua Kane suit with a merlot sweater poking above the buttoned jacket. The suit itself was an interesting style with the multiple buttons and unique fabric that merged blue, gray and green. Christian Louboutin Top Daviol shoes added the finishing touch.

Sebastian Stan: Tom’s costar went for a darker look in Givenchy. Traditional in colour but not in fabrication, the sleek one-button style was constructed out of a pinstripe fabric with subtle sheen. The monochromatic satin lapels and cotton shirt give the outfit an interesting tactile quality.

Chadwick Boseman: Celebrating his love of fashion, the ‘Black Panther’ star was clad in a Prada bottiglia green kid mohair suit with a denim blue and burgundy bicolor popeline shirt. I love his joyful mix of colours. He never disappoints. Christian Louboutin Ajmone boots completed his look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The gents have been making some dapper statements on the red carpet of late.

Bradley Cooper: The actor looked suave in Ermenegildo Zegna Couture and Louboutin shoes at IWC Schaffhausen’s Maison launch of its Jubilee Collection at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) on Tuesday (January 16). The velvet jacket and bow tie are a debonair combination with the blue in the watch adding some subtle colour.

Luke Evans: The actor joined Dakota Fanning at ‘The Alienist’ New York premiere on Tuesday (January 16). The subtle pinstripe in his Polo Ralph Lauren suit played off the pale blue shirt. There is something slightly off with the jacket. Methinks a single breasted style would have suited him better.

James Marsden: Also at IWC Schaffhausen’s Maison launch of its Jubilee Collection, the actor looked dashing in a slim navy suit and Louboutin shoes. The soft weave on the fabric could have come across as messy, but its sharp finish speaks to a master tailor.
