America Ferrera In Donna Karan – ‘Six by Sondheim’ HBO New York Premiere

America Ferrera In Donna Karan - 'Six by Sondheim' HBO New York Premiere

America Ferrera attended HBO’s New York premiere of ‘Six by Sondheim’ held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

While I wanted to eye roll yet another black look from America, I found myself totally charmed by her black one-shoulder Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2013 dress with a flared skirt because she styled it so well.

Not only did she forgo the expected black pumps and played out white pumps in favour of a bronze open-toe heel, she also upped the ante with an array of gold jewels, with the caged cuff the standout statement piece.

A slightly messy updo and makeup in a natural colour palette completed her look.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Anne Hathaway In Valentino Couture & America Ferrera In Rachel Roy

Anne Hathaway in Valentino Couture was your best dressed this week, when I was sure you were going to pick America Ferrera.

I did just that, not only because she stepped out of her comfort zone, but she also looked absolutely stunning proving that she should step out of her comfort zone more often.

America Ferrera In Rachel Roy – ‘End of Watch’ LA Premiere

You could’ve knocked me down with a feather when America Ferrera joined Anna Kendrick and Cody Horn on the red carpet for the LA premiere for ‘End of Watch’ on Monday night.

That’s because the beautiful actress finally stepped out of her comfort zone.

With Anna and Cody both opting for black looks, it was surprisingly America who provided the pop of colour on this red carpet.

Wearing an elegant teal Rachel Roy peplum gown with a gathered detailing on one shoulder, this is possibly one of her best looks to date.

I love the retro side-swept bun and the flaw-free makeup.

Sparkling Lorraine Schwartz jewels, a black tube clutch, and Brian Atwood heels completed her look.

America Ferrera In Carlos Miele – 2012 ALMA Awards

I was hoping the 2012 ALMA Awards would give America Ferrera the desire to step outside her navy/black box.

It just wasn’t to be.

Wearing her second navy look in a row, the actress celebrated the best Latino talent from television, film and music wearing a Carlos Miele Fall 2012 gown.

I love the draped details and the nipped-in waist of her chiffon, but as I said from the start, this isn’t anything new from America.

Even her Lorraine Schwartz jewels were navy blue.

Gorgeous wavy locks and a pretty coral lip colour completed her beautiful yet predictable look.

America Ferrera In Badgley Mischka – ‘Half The Sky: Turning Oppression Into Opportunity’ New York Screening

America Ferrera joined Olivia Wilde at the School of Visual Arts in New York City on Thursday, for the Tribeca Film Institute screening of her documentary ‘Half The Sky: Turning Oppression Into Opportunity’.

The former ‘Ugly Betty’ actress, who has been M.I.A. from the red carpet for a while, wore a Badgley Mischka dress for the occasion.

Her lovely navy-blue floral jacquard dress with cap-sleeves and a full-skirt was styled with Valentino t-strap sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Wavy locks and pretty makeup completed her return to the red carpet look.

America Ferrera In Nicole Miller – ‘Chicago’ London Photocall

America Ferrera looked outstanding as she wore head-to-toe red for the ‘Chicago’ photocall in London yesterday.

The actress celebrated her London stage debut as Roxie Hart wearing a Nicole Miller long-sleeve red dress.

Her curve-defining jersey dress was teamed with matching Giuseppe Zanotti velvet peep-toe slingbacks.

For someone who used to live in head-to-toe black, I’m very excited to see American wearing such a vivid colour.

First Dita, now America is opting to go head-to-toe red.

How do you feel about this trend?
