America Ferrera In Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition – 2020 Oscars

America Ferrera In Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition - 2020 Oscars

America Ferrera oozed pure goddess vibes on the red carpet for the 2020 Oscars on Sunday (February 9) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ actress shared earlier on Instagram that her look was a final tribute to her character as well as symbolic of her ancestors, the indigenous Lenca tribe of Honduras.

America glowed in a custom Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition gown.

The actress, along with her hair stylist, Aviva Perea and fashion stylist Karla Welch partnered with Jennifer Behr to create a custom brass halo.

The halo took inspiration from Honduras’ most famous warrior who is immortalized on the country’s currency.

With her baby bump peeping out from the dress’ empire waist, America truly looked like a radiant queen.

One of the few who dressed knowing that it’s the biggest night of Hollywood.

She looks regal here. I agree.

    I agree

Yes. I was very much like, “why?” until I saw the message behind it.

That’s indeed a Oscar worthy look. I don’t mind the headpiece, when she’s beautiful enough to make it work.

  6. Paola102 February 10, 2020 at 6:03 pm #

Yeah, even though I do like the honoring message behind it.

The dress color and fit is nice but it looks very cheap. That headpiece adds absolutely nothing to this look.

  8. Guest February 10, 2020 at 7:44 am #

The headpiece looks a little ridiculous.

Motherhood becomes her, as she just looked beautiful – most beautiful I’ve ever remember seeing her. The dress is beautiful, esp the color.

Thanks for the info on the halo inspiration. I appreciate it more now, I just thought it costumey beforehand.

She is glowing! Hard to knock that

Her hair, even without the headpiece, would look like an homage to her native american roots. Really nice overall, she looks so sweet with her bump!

Lovely. One of her best-ever looks but I don’t think the middle part is flattering.

The headpiece is so fitting with this dress and it doesn’t look costume-ish. LOVE IT.

What a beautiful tribute to film and heritage. A personal best

  16. Guest February 9, 2020 at 11:47 pm #

I can’t say I love the headpiece but she just looks so sweet and glowing that it is hard not to buy into this look.

  17. Guest February 9, 2020 at 11:45 pm #

Beautiful dress. I wish she had gone with some statement jewellery rather than the headband which just looks really juvenile.

  18. Guest February 9, 2020 at 11:44 pm #

Beautiful! I really like the styling, even though the headpiece reads a bit wonder woman.

  19. Guest February 9, 2020 at 11:43 pm #

The dress is fabulous. Love the shoulders and empire waist. looks perfect.
Really dont like the hair and headpiece. Took it into costume territory. sorry.
