Eva Longoria In Atelier Versace – ‘Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Eva Longoria In Atelier Versace - 'Jimmy P (Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian)' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Many of you thought Eva Longoria’s last gown was very predictable with the long sweeping train and heavy embellishments, so she decided to do something different for the ‘Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian)’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening – possibly due to the heavy rain.

The actress selected a turquoise Atelier Versace Fall 2012 gown featuring an open back, side slit, cold shoulders and a corseted belt.

While this is a nice enough dress, it’s lacking in the usual wow factor I get from Eva during Cannes.

My first reaction was, “Oh, something different, next”.

Bring back the drama Eva.

Chopard jewels and Brian Atwood nude sandals provided the finishing touches to her look.

Oh no–the fit is so poor on Eva. It looks floppy and flabby..esp the back! Much better on the model. Disappointed

This is not a great dress.

Loving the fresh colour but this is in fact meh and underwhelming.

      +1

Nope. Nothing works here. 2 thumbs down. (and that collection was blah!)

The colour is great against her olive skin. And that’s where the compliments end.

I’m finding Eva really boxy and waistless lately…

agreed. idk wats going on , she use to be able to work these loks regardless of her height but her last few looks I have really disliked them mainly because of the fact that it doesnt fit her small body. The model looks amazing.

The dress is completely wasted on her. I could think of about 10 people who could actually do justice to this look, because on the runway it looks pretty fantastic.

The only thing I like about this is the color.
The dress completely overwhelms her and the big hair makes it worse. Thumbs down.

I agree with Nic76 that this is a tragic waste of a wonderful dress.

This has to be Eva’s most unflattering look in Cannes!!

  8. EmmaWoodhouse May 18, 2013 at 20:41 #

Tacky, dated, silly, and SO unflattering. What a disappointment.

I only like the color. The dress is ugly and fits her bad. Plus, her face looks strange, the cheekbones, I don’t know there’s something I don’t like.
I appreciate the loose hair, because she usually sports ugly and unflattering hairstyles.

It is such a gorgeous dress on the statuesque model, but totally wrong on Eva’s diminutive frame. She looked better in the dress with the train.

Her hair looks bouncy and glossy. I won’t comment on the dress because… yeah, no.

Eva seems to be picking out tall-girl dresses. I sympathize, because I’m short, too, but really height has to be one of the first things to consider when choosing a dress.

    • justme May 19, 2013 at 01:36 #

Yup. I call it the Vanessa Hudgens syndrome. On the one hand, I want to applaud them for wearing whatever dress they like, height be damned. But on the other hand, it just looks unflattering :/

She has never had a waist, but she looks to me like she has put on just a little weight. Making bad choices.

  14. Angela May 19, 2013 at 03:39 #

I love the color, but she needed more inches to pull this off, and the hair isn’t helping either. I feelvbad because it isn’t her fault, but this doesn’t fit her body type whatsoever. And I’m honestly not a fan of the dress either.

I don’t really like anything about this look, the dress isn’t very appealing.

  16. Alina May 19, 2013 at 12:28 #

I think the colour is great for her skin tone and the hair looks glossy and beautiful, but that’s all.

  17. Moxie May 20, 2013 at 16:13 #

She is too short for this dress and the fit is terrible.
