Qin Lan In Andrew Gn – 7th Asian Film Awards

Qiu Lan In Andrew Gn - 7th Asian Film Awards

Qin Lan was also back on the red carpet this evening, joining Michelle Yeoh for the 7th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong.

Dressed in an on-trend black-and-white Andrew Gn Spring 2013 gown (I told you we are likely to see this trend continue until summer), the Asian beauty kept her look simple on this occasion.

Her origami gown with a white bodice and black voluminous skirt may be setting off déjà vu bells ringing in your ears.

That’s because Mary Elizabeth Winstead wore a similar look to the 2013 Vanity Fair party this year, but she wore Look 52 as opposed to Qin Lan’s Look 51.

They differ as Qin’s look has black shoulders, a plunging neckline with a nude mesh panel and a black leather belt.

Qin Lan’s bold red carpet look was styled with silver jewels and accessories including a boxy clutch and a coral lip colour.

Which look do you prefer? Michelle in Elie Saab Couture or Qin Lan’s Andrew Gn?

I really like both versions of the dress, maybe Elizabeth’s a bit more. The earrings are great too.

mmm, you got her name wrong.
    It’s Qin Lan, not Qiu.

This is a BDOTW look for me. She looks gorgeous.

  4. Agathe March 19, 2013 at 12:28 #

    It’s on my BDOTW list.

Two great different looks, hard to pick a fav. 🙁
I would go for Qui Lan here. I am in love with her styling, it keeps the focus on the dress and accessories compliments it perfectly.

Michelle wins for me, but slightly-too-low neckline aside, this ’50s inspired look is also BDOTW-worthy. I love the clean black and white combination, the voluminous skirt, and her glam styling. Wish she’d kept the belt, but otherwise, great.

    Love this dress!!!!

this is definitely my favorite between the 2. michelle’s dress washes her out and doesn’t suit her skin tone, while Qui Lan’s dress, accessories, hair and make up is just spot on. she looks amazing. BDOTW worthy!

    She looks nice.

Although I think that the skirt is a tad too long, she still looks absolutely stunning. Especially the top part of this look is flawless. BDOTW worthy for me.

This one is absolutely my favorite, although I kind of wish it was the navy blue my computer is providing instead of black.

  13. Moxie March 18, 2013 at 20:57 #

    Great look and on trend.

This is gorgeous, a perfect blend of the modern and the classic. I love the simple styling which just gives us a hint of sparkle.

It’s hard to compare this to Michelle Yeoh’s soft, lovely look since the two are so very different in feel.
But for me personally, this one elicits a WOW that the other doesn’t.

The voluminous skirt stumpifies her a bit but I still love this look. I like it with the belt but it’s working just fine without it, her styling is lovely, I like this look more than Mary’s or Michelle’s.
