Anna Kendrick was one of many stars to make the trip to Austin, Texas for the 2013 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive Festival, where she attended the premiere of her film, ‘Drinking Buddies’, at the Paramount Theater on Saturday.
Don’t adjust your computer screens; yes, this is Anna wearing a short-suit look from Marissa Webb’s Spring 2013 collection and not one of the nude, embellished, heavenly cocktail dresses we’ve come to associate her with.
She worked a grey tweed jacket with contrasting green trim and matching tweed shorts.
While Anna took inspiration from the model’s styling by wearing ankle-strap pumps instead of her favoured Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps, she opted to wear her jacket sans blouse.
Anna finished up her look with a dark-grey clutch, wavy locks and light makeup.

I like the jacket, not the shorts, and would have worn a blouse underneath. Cool clutch.
Great jacket, but can’t stand the shorts. Boring accessories.
Those shorts give me a wedgie just looking at them. The jacket makes her look boxy. I like her shoes but hate the color of her bag. Conceptually, I like the idea of suit & shorts combo, but just not this one.

The heather grey suit is kind of weird, but there’s something about tiny women in shorts that always seem to work, even at more formal occasions (though they shouldn’t push their luck at funerals).
She looks great. And that hair color with that green is fabulous!
