Reese Witherspoon Wore Monse To The ‘Elle’ New York Premiere

Reese Witherspoon continued to serve up Elle Woods’ go-to colour, pink, at the Prime Video Elle New York premiere last night.

I know many of you did not love the Prada opener from Reese, but I continue to be enamoured by the way she is embracing Elle Woods with the charm, nostalgia and playfulness that this iconic character deserves.

Following her archival Chanel look for Good Morning America, Reese brought things firmly into the present wearing a custom Monse pink lace dress.

We know Reese tends to favour structured silhouettes and darker hues, so the vivid pink and soft lace fabrication is a welcome departure, yet the look never feels overly saccharine.

As much as I love sandals, I’m not sold on this pair. I would have preferred pink to continue the colour story from head to toe. That said, I understand the decision. The intention was clearly to keep the focus on the dress, and on that front, the styling succeeds.
