Nieves Alvarez In Vicky Martín Berrocal & Bally – Solo Moda

Solo Moda - Vicky Martín Berrocal

While I’m still dreaming of Nieves Alvarez’s Stéphane Rolland Couture gown at the recent 2013 Goya Cinema Awards, the Solo Moda host has since changed dresses. She flaunted her fashion prowess last weekend with a range of frocks from Vicky Martín Berrocal and Bally.

On Saturday’s show, the TV host modeled looks from the Vicky Martín Berrocal Spring 2013 collection, paired with Christian Louboutin shoes and a side braid.

First, Nieves added a touch of flamenco flair—on her sleeve—with a melon-coloured dress and matching peep-toe pumps. The necklace had no place on this body-skimming look.

Nieves’ next monochromatic exit wasn’t boring thanks to a long art deco-like pendant necklace and her bold red lip, not to mention those creatively embellished shoes. This may be the only time that funny pair could work.

She finished out her Saturday run by playing the lady in red with this slim-fit silhouette. The contoured piping provided a nice edge, while those quirky blue and yellow t-strap blunt-toe pumps brought a retro charm to the look—even if they were completely unmatched to the dress.

Solo Moda - Bally

For Sunday’s appearance, Nieves exclusively wore a range of ’60s-inspired shift dresses from the Bally Spring 2013 collection, which she matched with Chopard jewels.

Her first frock in acid orange brought a shock of colour to the stage. But it fell flat with her nondescript pair of Christian Louboutin heels. This dress could have handled the spunk of a more exciting pair.

Nieves went for the gold in a shiny metallic dress that featured an exploded honeycomb overlay. Purple ankle-strap Jimmy Choos finished the look.

She brought on more metallics in her final ensemble, wearing a bronze pair of Pedro Garcia sandals and a monochrome tent dress with a silver snakeskin-like scrollwork at the neckline.
