Nina Dobrev was your favourite at the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards, and she was equally gorgeous at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscar party on Sunday.
The ‘Vampire Diaries’ actress glided down the red carpet wearing a Naeem Khan Fall 2013 gown with Chopard jewels.
Her fresh-off-the-runway black-and-white baroque embroidered racer-cut gown featured a sexy open back, which she was only too happy to show off to the photographers.
While I wish she had opted for a bun instead of a ponytail, it takes nothing away from this beautiful look.
Dangling earrings and smoky eyes completed her grown up sophisticated look.

See how striking the shocking pink in the background banner looks against the monotone…should have gone for hot pink lips in my oppinion,would have been flawless then..

The black lining was the perfect choice and I like the ponytail.
The clutch isn’t my fave though and her makeup looked heavily applied upclose.

I have never paid much attetion to Nina, but she has been so great on the red carpets recently that now I can say that she’s one of my favorites.
I also LOVE her make up and hair – I think the ponytail gave the look a more youthful vibe.
while i have always loved her look, i am afraid that if we include her in the BDOTW poll (or any polls), the fans will link the poll to her fan site and vote for her till she wins. and these voters are not the regular reader of this blog. so we can’t truly know who the readers think is the best dressed *sigh*
I preferred the dress on the runway with the sheer burnout detail. The dress on Nina looks like a really overwhelming damask print wallpaper. As a good compromise, it should have been half sheer and half lined. I love Nina’s style but everytime I see her on the red carpet she’s using this pose and I don’t like it.
My favourite dress from the after parties. But that’s no surprise because I find myself loving almost everything this girl wears.
