Some of Rita Ora’s best red carpet moments have come courtesy of Emilio Pucci, so we shouldn’t be surprised that Peter Dundas has designed the wardrobe for the Rita’s ‘The Radioactive Tour’ 2013, which kicks off in Manchester, England tonight.
Peter worked with Rita Ora to create looks which perfectly echo her unique take on urban glamour.
With looks ranging from girlie-and-glam to tough B-girl military chic, each piece incorporates themes from the Emilio Pucci Spring 2013 collection, plus they allow freedom of movement for the energetic dance routines.
“I was thrilled to design the costumes for Rita’s ‘Radioactive Tour’, from the moment I met Rita we’ve had a great connection and doing something like this together felt like only a natural progression. The costumes have impact and flamboyance in a way that feels personal to Rita whilst staying true to the Emilio Pucci aesthetic” – Peter Dundas.

the first design looks nice (with the skirt), but once it is on rita it will look tacky. the others blah.
Not liking any of these sketches.
+1
Pucci is for Fergie, Ciara, Kylie, Rihanna, on Rita nothing looks good, or expensive..
Not liking it.
thats a lot of fabric to perform on stage…
she is gonna sweat a lot!
Haha so true!
Those were my exact thoughts as well lol.
People judge Rihanna’s short shorts, Beyoncé’s leotards or even Katy Perry’s small dresses but honestly, I can’t blame them. They perform under spotlights for more than an hour. They need air.
Loving the sketches! Those Pucci looks are quite fierce ! Can not wait how they translate on stage but surely Rita will look awesome!
Wow, this is how these young artists become indebted to their labels–who’s paying for something like this? Has the poor young thing even had a bona fide hit? I think this is the downside of an emphasis on fashion–it throws a lot of value onto a wearer who maybe isn’t “there” yet.
I would imagine a collaboration like this benefits both the artist and the designer. Rita is wearing the clothes, exposing the Pucci brand to a fan base that may not necessarily be familiar with it, and in turn she gets custom-made outfits and doesn’t have to worry about what to perform in. Isn’t that how these things work?
I’ll get excited when someone sorts her roots out. Her hair ruins most of her looks.
That is exactly what I have been saying all along
