Which Was Your Favourite Simone Ashley ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Press Tour Look?

Simone Ashley, who plays Emily’s ambitious new assistant Lucia in The Devil Wears Prada 2, didn’t follow the red-and-black memo we saw from many of her co-stars throughout the press tour.

Instead, her wardrobe reflected a mix of archival fashion, custom creations and opportunities to spotlight designers who sit slightly outside the industry’s most familiar names.

The tour got off to a shaky start in Prada. Honestly, that look didn’t live up to either the woman or the occasion, so it was a relief to see things quickly get back on track.

Her vintage Mugler look in London was where the tour truly clicked into place. Not only did it feel more aligned with her fashion personality, but it also delivered the kind of memorable moment I had been hoping for. In the end, it became my favourite look of the entire tour.

The Balenciaga look in New York wasn’t far behind. It had a confidence and ease that felt entirely natural on her, making it my clear runner-up.

As for the Jil Sander look, that should have been my favourite on paper. The simplicity, the colour and the overall direction all appealed to me, but the fit never quite came together. Had the tailoring been sharper, I suspect it would have topped my list.
