Anne Hathaway In Chanel Couture – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Anne Hathaway in Chanel Couture - 2013 Golden Globe AwardsAnne Hathaway brought all of her starlet charm to the 2013 Golden Globe Awards red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The ‘Les Miserables’ actress found inspiration from a few seasons ago with her snowy white Chanel Couture gown from Spring 2009.

But the dress was still fresh and uncompromisingly sophisticated with its slightly flared, peplum top and structured column skirt, all crystallized with subtle embellishment.

Delicate bracelets and studs from Chanel Fine Jewelry didn’t complicate this glamour girl’s look. And she’s still pulling off her chic pixie cut with graceful aplomb.

Did you find Anne’s ensemble to be award-winning?

to be honest.. i expected more from Anne Hathaway. This gown is a little muted, plain and boring. She looks good in it…. but nothing special… especially for an award ceremony like this were its OBVIOUS she’s going to win it..

We’ve all seen better from Anne.

Award winning! Amazing! Breath taking! Finally, she got it right. Chanel’s boyish spirit and quiet sexiness is Annie’s best segue into a new, post-Princess chapter.

Perfection! She looks fresh, youthful, and beautiful. I am loving her hair as it grows out.

  9. Marybeth January 14, 2013 at 04:43 #

    It’s lovely and elegant.

I am so surprised by how well this photographed. On television I thought it was extremely lacklustre. I don’t think any of that changes my opinion that from the side the top was supremely unflattering.

  11. Rebecca Z January 14, 2013 at 04:48 #

Pretty–nothing spectacular. But she looked comfortable and that is worth something.

  12. EmmaWoodhouse January 14, 2013 at 04:49 #

it’s elegant for sure, but it feels like a bit of a throwback to her Armani Prive at the 09 Oscars, and her Oscar de la Renta of the other day. In other words, it’s nice, but I’m not wowed. Maybe if she’d punched it up with bright jewels or something…but frankly I was hoping for a ballgown.

I love this silhouette on Annie so I’m not surprised she’s gone for it more than once. Loved her Armani from the ’09 Oscars, it’s my favorite RC look from her ever :)

This was one of the best looks of the night, and I was still a little bored by it.

  14. ash January 14, 2013 at 04:55 #

It’s nice and all, but this dress is waaaay too understated for an awards show. The white Givenchy couture dress she wore awhile ago would have been a better choice for the Golden Globes.

    • dee January 14, 2013 at 14:15 #

      I agree.

  15. T from Sydney January 14, 2013 at 05:08 #

Its pretty but boring and forgettable.

Anne’s entire tour for Les mis was terrible.

I am preying for something amazing at the Oscars.

  16. Rachel January 14, 2013 at 05:42 #

Elegant, stylish, womanly, complements her svelte figure. Not another overblown ball gown. Absolutely loved it.

    • CreoleLady January 14, 2013 at 10:11 #

I agree with every word. And a Chanel that I actually love, imagine that.

  17. L January 14, 2013 at 06:44 #

    BORING as usual.

  18. Stephanie January 14, 2013 at 06:56 #

    beautiful but not earth shattering

  19. Chiklet January 14, 2013 at 07:11 #

    LOVE!

  20. Yeliz January 14, 2013 at 07:18 #

Boring, just like her last two looks. I hope she’ll at least have one look during awards season which wows me, because I’m so bored by her choices.

  21. Azur January 14, 2013 at 07:46 #

    Boring dress

Every bit the Best Supporting Actress, Anne Hathaway glows positively in this strapless white Chanel creation!! Love her quirky charm that rocks out this outfit like hell!! Can’t wait for her Oscar!! Gorgeous and fabulous indeed, Anne!! Te amo!!

  26. Andreea January 14, 2013 at 09:21 #

I really like how she looks in that dress but i feel like something is missing, that the looks isn’t completed.Maybe a statement necklace or bigger earrings would have helped.

  27. Katey January 14, 2013 at 10:46 #

I think She looks a bit boring…I’m dissapointed.

  28. Leo January 14, 2013 at 11:50 #

Expected more from her, it’s such a quiet look and it washes her down so much. Michelle Williams could make this work maybe, but Anne looks so bland.

  29. Ysatis January 14, 2013 at 12:14 #

I love it. I like the simplicity of the dress and the makeup is on point.

  30. Manja January 14, 2013 at 12:45 #

I think this is the best I’ve seen her look… She FINALLY looks comfortable and not like she’s wearing somebody elses’s clothes. Suits her perfectly.

  31. Tracy L January 14, 2013 at 13:20 #

I love the dress on her and her body is amazing. I would have maybe punched it up a notch with bigger earrings or brighter makeup, but i did love the dress.

  32. Amy January 14, 2013 at 13:23 #

    lovely!

  33. Natalie19 January 14, 2013 at 13:57 #

I think she looks beautiful. Love her hair growing out. But she didnt’ wow me and doesn’t make my best dresses list.

Snoozefest to the max. I swear, since cutting her hair her style has become rather depressing. And why do super pale actresses insist on wearing white or nude or pale lilac, its just not a good look. I hope she steps it up cause this is one of the lamest look.

  40. Karen January 15, 2013 at 16:07 #

    BORING and too safe!
