Jessica Chastain In Elie Saab – ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ LA Premiere

Jessica Chastain was in LA on Monday evening for the premiere of her latest movie, ‘Zero Dark Thirty’, held at the Dolby Theatre.

The actress wore an Elie Saab Spring 2013 dress for the occasion.

Her royal-blue custom look features the lace bodice from look 41 and a fitted skirt with a peplum detail.

Proving that she is the actress of the moment, her Charlotte Olympia sandals were also customized.

Keeping her makeup subtle was the right choice on this occasion, considering she was wearing such a vibrant hue dress.

What else would I add to this look?

A clutch, perhaps.

Harry Winston jewels and her flame-red hair pushed behind her ears provided the finishing touches.

I wish she’d worn the runway version, it’s much more interesting.

I really wish that she’d worn the runway version. But she looks great nonetheless.

I agree. This is more photocall.

she looks beautiful i like it but i prefer the runaway version.

Blech, why would she make such a terrible modification? She is so gorgeous why does she insist on making the most questionable fashion choices??

she is wearing my favorite color of all time and she looks great in it, *sighs* :D

Love it from head to toe. She would have done the runway version justice, as well. And yaaaay for shoes that fit!

Both dresses are a clear yes, the runway version is slightly ore interesting indeed.

For me personally, the runway look vs. her look is apples and oranges. Runway is a more formal look than she was going for, obviously, so she chose the right looks for this occasion. I love the wave-like peplum, the color is absolutely gorgeous on her and those CO shoes are covet-worthy. Hair & makeup divine. Love it from head-to-toe!

i really dont the hype with her, i keep hearing people say how much of a style icon she is but honestly i class her as the likes of kate middleton, very pretty but rather dull style.

    gorgeous colour though.

The sandals are very pretty and she looks good in blue as usual but it’s not really exciting.

I think this is one of her most successful looks. It fits her well, compliments her shape, is a great color, and is styled well. What’s not to like?

It’s nice. I much prefer the original gown. She’s tamed it, just like she did recently with the floral Preen gown she wore to the NY photocall. I hope this isn’t going to be a trend of hers, where she tastefully blandifies fashion on red carpets. We’re already getting our fill of that from Duchess Catherine and McQueen, and as a Royal, at least she has an excuse.

Her styling is polished, my complaint here is that her upper body looks rather boxy/thick-waisted in this bodice.

The colour is so lovely but it feels more like a photocall dress in comparison to the gown.

I really really wish that the bodice was lined with blue instead of nude. The nude washes her out. Other than that, very pretty.

I’m underwhelmed. She’s the Sissy Spacek of our generation, of the 2100s.
