Zoe Saldana In Bottega Veneta – Marie Claire’s Hollywood Dinner

Zoe Saldana posed alongside Olivia Munn at Marie Claire’s Hollywood Dinner held at Fig & Olive in West Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

Considering I wasn’t too enamoured with either the Bottega Veneta Spring 2013 or Resort 2013 collection, I’m very surprised by how much red carpet action both collections are receiving.

Zoe selected a look from the Resort 2013 collection, which featured a sporty eggplant racer top with white trims styled with a black-and-white striped wrap skirt and a black cardi.

While I expect much more from Zoe in the footwear department, it pains me to say that her YSL Tribute pumps do work with this look.

Did I say “pains me”? It’s killing me to say.

Ok, one or two not so great looks could have been an accident, but she has been “meh” for quite a while now.
I’m worrying she has lost her red carpet mojo. :-(
    Come back, old Zoe!

ITA. She has been bland for way too long. It’s hard ot remember the Zoe with the Givenchy gown and the Star trek promo tour Zoe.

She loos really nice but not exciting.

I am trying to figure out when exactly I stopped crushing on Zoe’s style. This is not good.
I am praying that she gets back to her former glory for the Star Trek promo tour.

Boresville. You can usually expect Zoe to at least look better than the model, and I can’t say that this is the case here. The lookbook styling is so much better. Zoe looks like an expensive librarian here.

Wow harsh about the collection because the resort and SS were one of my favourites and I bought a few really pretty dresses but this look is not nice

I can’t say the same thing about the shoes, I guess I will never consider liking them. The overall look is just OK.

The top and skirt is ok, nice enough but the cardigan brings it in to boring office wear territory and those pumps highlights that her footwear style is slacking of late.

The Bottega Veneta SS13 collection was chic and elegant but felt very autumnal. The resort collection had some nice pieces.

the purple shoes with bows would have lifted the outfit but they are extremely high

She looks like a schoolteacher or librarian. I don’t dislike the look but it feels bland for her usual standards.

    Zoe is losing her touch.

I wish she wore the lookbook shoes. She looks nice but there isn’t anything exciting about this look.
