Amy Adams joined Kristen Stewart on the red carpet at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards on Saturday.
The actress chose a plunging double V-neck dress from Jenny Packham’s Fall 2012 collection.
We’ll be seeing a lot more of the three-time Oscar nominee during the coming awards season for her performance in ‘The Master’, and this belted column was a savvy choice for Amy, whose complexion is nicely complemented by the fabric’s metallic tones.
The Grecian draping of Packham’s festive design is universally flattering and versatile—the kind of dress that would work equally well at a December wedding or a black-tie New Year’s bash.

From the front, there’s something in the fit that doesn’t quite convince me, but I love the back and the color on her.
Overall, a great look for Amy.
I’m looking forward to the awards season this year.
this is a beautiful look for amy! wow! she looks classy and so elegant…luv the back!
I think she looks gorgeous
Wow.
I much prefer Amy with her hair down, but in this occasion the half-up half-down hairstyle is not quite working for me. This dress longs for an updo.
But overall she looks great.
Agreed, the hair should’ve been in an updo, great otherwise.
+1. the hair should have been up. Love the dress.
I think her hair is a let down. The dress looks gorgeous on her but her hair should have been pulled back in a bun or updo.
Great dress! She looks gorgeous, especially from the back.
Gorgeous, but not as fabulous as some of her other recent looks such as the Gucci dress she work to LACMA. I agree that this dress would have looked better with her hair up or at least behind her shoulder. But what a lot of class this woman has!
I like it!
The bodice is too baggy for the top to look good on her. Maybe it is Amy’s posture, but the fit looks better on the model.
I agree about the fit of the bodice.
WOW this gown is so beautiful. I want it badly.
This is perfect IMO. I can’t find a single fault, she looks stunning. It’s also BDOTW worthy, even if I am the only one thinking like that.
It’s an eye-catching gown and she gives real presence here which I don’t normally get from her.
A very unique and classic gown–I would love it and think it BDOTW-worthy if the plunging neckline were raised about three or four inches (in the black part). Other than that, interesting and flawless.
Love it, she’s been on a roll lately.
Technically, it looks smashing on both Adams and the model, I just don’t like the sequins that are used here.
