Madonna Wore Saint Laurent & Diesel for FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show
Madonna wasn’t about to treat the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show like just another performance. If there was ever a stage made for one of pop music’s greatest showwomen, this was it.

Madonna mixed luxury fashion with sportswear influences, combining Saint Laurent separates with a Diesel piece that couldn’t have been more fitting for the occasion.

Anthony Vaccarello’s contribution came in the form of a satin-crepe Saint Laurent Teddy jacket, silk mini shorts and metallic leather Danceteria lace-up boots. The personalised jacket, emblazoned with “Madonna 10” across the back, instantly gave the look a football-inspired identity.

Beneath the jacket, Madonna wore Glenn Martens’ Diesel lurex jersey zip top from the Spring 2023 collection. Complete with contrast lace inserts and sporty striped rib trims, it embodied Diesel’s signature sportswear-meets-club DNA, making it a natural fit for a performance that celebrated football while embracing the energy of live music.

The colour palette tied everything together. Lavender, pink and silver dominated Madonna’s look, standing apart from the vibrant yellow and blue tracksuits worn by Ronaldinho and Ronaldo, while still complementing the colourful dancers surrounding them on stage.

As we know, fashion houses tend to favour head-to-toe looks, but this styling was so cohesive you could easily believe it all came from the same designer. Saint Laurent brought the attitude and effortless cool, while Diesel introduced a club-inspired twist.
