Rosie Assoulin Brings Her Signature Style To Target

Rosie Assoulin has been one of those designers I have long admired, as we share a love of bold colours, graphic prints and sculptural silhouettes. Those signatures have made her a favourite of Ayo Edebiri, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gabrielle Union, Storm Reid, Cynthia Erivo, Jennifer Lawrence, Karen Gillan, Jennifer Garner and Margot Robbie, among many others.

While the label hasn’t been as prevalent on the red carpet as it once was, from July 25 we’ll all have the opportunity to own a piece of that distinctive aesthetic.

Target has announced its latest designer collaboration, Rosie Assoulin x Target, bringing the New York designer’s playful point of view to an exclusive collection spanning fashion, accessories and homeware.

Unlike many designer collaborations that simply reinterpret archive favourites, this collection feels true to what has made Assoulin’s label so recognisable. There are dramatic striped shirt dresses, easy matching sets, oversized proportions and cheerful prints that immediately recall the joyful spirit of her collections, only translated into pieces that feel wearable for everyday life.

The collaboration includes dresses, separates, handbags, sandals and accessories, alongside Assoulin’s first multi-item home collection. Kitchen towels, beach towels designed to double as sarongs and entertaining pieces all carry the same optimistic approach that defines her ready-to-wear.

Most items are priced under $50, making this one of the more accessible ways to buy into a designer whose collections have traditionally sat well beyond most wardrobes.

We’ve spent years admiring Rosie Assoulin on the red carpet, and while celebrity dressing will always be part of the appeal, there’s something satisfying about seeing those same signatures adapted for real life.

I already know exactly what I’ll be shopping. Thankfully, my sister is currently in New York, so I’ll be having my order sent to her. The striped maxi shirt dress is at the top of my list, closely followed by the Madras midi skirt, which perfectly captures the colourful, playful approach that has made Rosie Assoulin one of my favourite designers.

The Rosie Assoulin x Target collection launches on July 25 at 10 a.m. CST for a limited time, available online, through the Target app and in select Target stores. If previous Target designer collaborations are anything to go by, I wouldn’t expect the standout pieces to stay in stock for long.
