Richard Armitage joined Cate Blanchett and Yao Chen on the red carpet for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ world premiere in Wellington, New Zealand.
The actor, who you may not recognise instantly as he has been sporting a beard for over a year, wore a midnight-blue Zegna peaked-lapel suit.
A white dress shirt, a satin maroon tie with a gold pin, and perforated brown lace-up shoes completed his look.
He looks very handsome, don’t you agree?

I agree! he looks very handsome. And loved him in North & South too. What a charming man!
YES I LOVE him in that too! Amazing miniseries. I am so excited to see him The Hobbit…from Thornton to Thorin
He looks devestatingly handsome here. BDMOTW
Same. I have a crush on him since then, so I may be biased, but he looks REALLY good here.
I’m SO happy you are having more menswear posts.
Men in well fitted suits are a weakness of mine.
Richard looks very good.
Have a good weekend FC!!
Thanks. You too T x
It’s the first time I’m seeing this man and he looks very dapper.
He looks charming
+1, very dapper!
I thought he was Hugh Jackman. Either way he looks terrific!
Very dashing.
Did you see him at the Hobbit premiere press conference or the the television Baftas of 2009 and 2010. Looks great in a tux.
Classic perfection!
Ok ladies let’s return to focusing on the clothing and not only on (the undoubtedly handsome) man who’s wearing them..
“Perfection” is a big word and I personally wouldn’t use it here.
He looks quite well in this suit but the colour combination of suit/shirt/tie is quite boring imo. (not to mention the sloppy knot)
A tie with a more interesting structure or pattern would be preferred.
In the shoe department he should’ve opted for a more burgundy-coloured shoe in my opinion. From this picture his shoes do not complement the outfit perfectly.
All in all: well dressed yet room for improvement
