Just when she was starting to become a tad predictable, Keira Knightley switched things up at the ‘Anna Karenina’ LA premiere held at the ArcLight Hollywood in California yesterday evening.
I was starting to tire of the samey Valentino gowns, so thank heavens Erdem Moralioglu created this custom gown for the British actress, which was inspired by his Spring 2013 collection.
The mint duchess-satin strapless gown features the same blue lace embroidery we saw on the runway.
That punchy pink lip is to die for. She really wanted to mix things up on this occasion.
A pinned updo and star diamond-encrusted Chanel earrings completed her look.

I am not a fan of Keira’s but I think she looks absolutely gorgeous and glowing here.
This is probably the first ever look of hers that I really-really like. Everything about it.
Well, except for the hands in the pockets.
Divine!
i agree, so nice to see some color, and it still works with her very soft feminine redcarpet style.

+3 She looks stunning – so glad she’s switching things up!
I d’ont like the color. This look is dull.
goddes
Love it!, especially the make-up.
this dress is so feminine and absolutely heavenly !!!
Simply amazing!! She looks so beautiful, I really love this look and am also excited that she went for something unpredictable. I’ve always loved Keira in Erdem!
The hair, makeup, dress… all perfect. This is going on my BDOTY list!

Stunning, divine, no words! BDOTW! <3

Thank God for color! She looks gorgeous! That lip color is doing wonders.
She’s a goddess. I love it!
divine!! BDOTW for me
I always enjoy Keira Knightley on the red carpet, this look is no exception, amazing! the colour, the embroidery, the train, makeup, hair. Perfection.
Words almost escape me. Almost. This is a phemomenal look from Keira – she has probably worn a hundred Valentino gowns over the past couple of years but this Erdem creation has put each and every one of them to shame – I have never seen her look so poised, so ethereal, so angelic, so memorable. Best dressed of the week – absolutely. Best Dressed of the year – very probably. Divine.
Surprisingly good! Love the lips and eyes.
Amazing! So regal! Cate Blanchett would be proud!
This is to die for. Speechless.
Ok she looks breathtaking – no question about that – a delicate and romantic look like she’s been giving us over the last 2 years or so
What bugs me however (and this applies to most actresses these days, look at Kristen Stewart and her embroidered Zuhair Murad for once obvious and recent instance) is that this is too much for a movie premiere – this dress could easily be worn to the Golden Globes or the Oscars – Everyone in the current red carpet frenzy seem to be overdressing for movie premieres
I do believe that a cocktail dress, a jumpsuit, a simple long dress (no embroidery or train) should be enough for these occasions
BDOTW maybe even BDOTY worthy. I love this.
now we’re talking…divine! such a beautiful dress…and an equally lovely colour…sigh! even the twilight people didn’t get so good. this is class apart.
Breathtaking. Abslut perfection. How she always manages to look so regal is beyond me. J’adore.
Yes, finally we have colour! Beautiful i love the pink lippy with the mint green dress. Stunning.
Wow. Love it.
It looks like it will be a tough BDOTW competition this week.

She looks SOOOO good.
Love it! BDOTW! Love the dress and color, perfect hair and makeup.
Wow, she looks drop dead gorgeous. Love this!
She looks beautiful. Love the colors.
…aaaaand she just made it to the BDOTW list!
She looks absolutely divine! The mint green is such a great colour on her, her hair gives me early Downton vibes and I love the draping of the fabric. Only a
Brilliant. The Grace Kelly resemblence she wanted to obtain, which wouldn’t be so strong without Keira’s natural elegance btw, has a lot more impact than the lovely but not that extraordinary dress itself.
She’s simply drop dead gorgeous.

I’m referring to Grace’s Oscar gown (;
Wow. Agree with what the previous poster said about this being wasted on a premier. If this was the Oscars it would go down as an ATG fashion moment. It should anyway. She looks divine.
Wow.
I thought I had already decided on my BDOTW, but I’m having serious second thoughts. Keira looks absolutely stunning.
Beautiful. Flawless!
Wow! She looks amazing! BDOTW for sure… and I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes a BDOTY nominee.
She looks breathtaking and I love the pink lips!
She looks great…and barely a pout in sight.
Fabulous! Definitely worthy of a BDOTW nod.
I love the dress and she looks really pretty, but given that it was made for her, why is it too long??? I almost ruins the look for me.
In response to those who think that overdressing is going on–maybe, but what fun would it be if we only got to see dresses like this 3-4 times a year?
Bye Kristen, I found my bdotw ! I love everything about this look
Breathtaking! Just wish we could see the shoes. With the right pair of shoes peeking out beneath the skirt this would have been perfect!
Outstanding! Definite contender for BDOTY for me!
im going to be an absolute pain and say i dont like the length at the front, if it was just a tiny bit shorter it would be perfect.
I can’t say BDOTY worthy but by all means a deserving BDOTW contender. It’s a memorable look for her and she is working it.
Ugh, I really hope Anna Karenina makes a splash during awards season. The red carpets would be so much more interesting with Keira on them!
That being said, if she’s up for BDOTY, it should preferably be for (a) the pink Chanel couture gown or (b) the black Elie Saab couture gown.
Apparently I’m the only one not loving everything about this look. She does looks fantastic and I love the colour and her hair and make-up, but there is just too much fabric on the back for my tastes and the back doesn’t have a shape either.
Note perfect. Not only lovely in it’s own right, but also in the romantic theme of the film she’s promoting.
I think this the best dress I’ve seen in a long time on the red carpet, it screams 60s Balenciaga couture without being an obvious replica. LOVE THE COLOUR!!
the dress on the runway is amazing! she is lovely, as always.
I love this girl’s style. This dress is beautiful, it looks a bit like a costume (in a good way) and I’m starting to like a lot the “trend” of the pockets, so women can leave clutches at home (we all know that they’re useless). I also love her hairstyle, she’s becoming one of my fashion icons. It’s gonna be hard to choose the BDOTW.
Only keira could wear this shade of yellow with florals without looking stuck in a childhood phase. Well done.
I gasped the first time I saw this, and I’m back fr another look. Perfection, just utterly beautiful, really, I’m swooning.
Im not a fan of the pockets on dresses trend. It looks too loose. This needs to be fitted.
Beautiful, modern “sacque” dress of the late 1700s, modernized in this lovely color, which, as another commenter said resembles Grace Kelly’s Oscar dress. BDOTW-worthy without a doubt, only wish that she’d kept her hands out of her pockets.
