Laetitia Casta continued her jury member duties during the 2012 Venice Film Festival on Saturday evening for the premiere for ‘The Master’.
She looked drop dead gorgeous in an Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture dress; I’m excited that we finally have our first look from this stunning collection to hit the red carpet.
Her pretty peach tulle dress with an A-line skirt with gold embellishments was styled with open-toe t-bar sandals from the same collection, but I wish she’d worn the open-toe runway version.
The French beauty doesn’t wear much makeup, not that she needs it, but on this occasion she opted for a hot red lip colour with a blown out lock to complete her look.
Many of you hated her see-through Dolce & Gabbana look from the opening ceremony, so how does this look fare?

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
It truly is. I adore this breath-taking couture gown–this was one of the King’s best collections ever, and that’s saying something! BDOTW contender! The shoes wouldn’t have been my first choice in style, but the color is perfect so they don’t detract. I also wish that she had worn an updo and a lighter (peachy) lip color, but these are minor issues. All in all, perfect. J’adore.
better than the Dolce&Gabbana dress, but I don’t like the hair
Simply gorgeous. I actually like the slight weightiness of the shoes – for me, they ground the dress and work perfectly as a foil to its lightness. A vision splendid.
The dress is beautiful but i think the color is wrong for her skin tone. The entire woman is peach.
She definitely should have worn the runway shoes, I said that over at the Fashion Spot too.
I also hope this is the first of many looks from this collection we’ll see on the red carpet!
I think that the dress itself is beautiful, of course it’s Elie Saab, but the color is not for her, plus, she needed a belt (like the one worn on the runway) another hairstyle and I prefer the runway shoes. I prefer, and I think I’m the only one, the DG’s dress and styling.
She looks perfect I love it
I never really like Laetitia on the red carpet. And it’s crazy on this occasion considering how beautiful Mr. Saab’s dress is. It’s her I guess. I find her somehow lifeless…
Agree with Noemi, this is definitely not the color for her, the dress is pretty itself, but she looked too peachy pink here. Also, I prefer the runway shoes.
+1 The dress is drop dead beautiful but I am not feeling the dress on her.
+2
For me, this dress not suit for her. Too sugary sweet for her. I will pick one of the black or blue dresses also from this collection, for example Look 1, which I will guarantee made bigger impact than this look.
Ditto. The dress simply doesn’t suit her, way too sweet and girly for her.
I wish she wore the belt
Finaaaaallyyyyy she looks gorgeous
It helps me forgetting her awful Dolce & Gabbana look!
Wrong lip color, bad hairstyle, and she looks bored. Not a fan of the shoes. Way to kill an Elie Saab dress.
I’m sorry to say this but I totally agree…
On the model, this dress is incredible. But on Casta, she looks washed out and has aged 10 years.
She looks pretty but age inappropriate
This dress, although gorgeous, does not suit her at all.
It’s a very pretty dress, but I agree with you, FC – I wish she’d worn the open-toe runway version of the shoe. The ones she chose are too heavy for such a delicate dress.
Lovely dress, but the matchy-matchy shoes scream bridesmaid.
I like this! Major improvement from the Dolce, but then again, these are two very different dresses. I actually like Laetitia’s shoes better. They’re just more structured.
