Dita von Teese In Marc Jacobs – amfAR Inspiration Night Paris

Dita von Teese also attended the amfAR Inspiration Night Paris at Maxim’s in Paris, France, yesterday evening.

The burlesque star wore a very familiar look from the Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 collection.

Whilst we haven’t seen this particular style of dress before, we have seen this paisley metallic print on Elizabeth Banks and Rose McGowan.

I hope celebs will give us some range and wear other pieces from this collection.

Trademark retro Dita styling, with Bulgari jewels and uncharacteristic simple black pumps completed her look.

Well, I do love that print and this style looks great on Dita. But I want to smack her silly for wearing those black pumps! It could have been a great look but with those shoes it’s just nice.

I agree Marybeth. Since we know Dita has a fab shoe closet (custom Louboutins, for example) there is no excuse for the black pumps. Otherwise it’s an okay look.

I agree with both of you.

from the ankles up it is a good look, but the shoes are very boring.

The skirt doesn’t translate that well – a bit too heavy and overwhelming, should’ve been shortened at least a little bit. The necklace teamed with a bit of boobage is a tad cheesy, would’ve preferred if she’d ditched the necklace and opted for more inspiring footwear instead.

I want to believe that she missed her pedicure appointment, which is the only reason I can fathom to wear pumps with this dress. They add unnecessary weight .

      +1

I like the top half of her but not the bottom half.

The dress is lovely but the shoes are tragic. I am starting to wonder if the other looks in the collection are wearable?

I like the shape of her dress, and I don’t mind the shoes. :O)

I like the bodice on Dita’s version (a little higher neckline would have been great), but I wish she had kept the skirt from the runway. I don’t like the seam running straight down the center, and I like the more structured look of the runway skirt. I’m going to ignore the shoes and hopefully Dita will also ignore them in the future.

      Agreed.

Thank God she made justice to this dress, I didn’t like the way it was styled on the runway!!!

FC, that’s actually not the right dress. It’s look 46. And i agree with all the others, the shoe choice is very underwhelming. Also, kinda wish she had worn this with leather opera gloves
