As expected, Blake Lively stunned on the red carpet for the ‘Savages’ LA premiere held at Westwood Village on Monday evening.
Dressed in a second-skin Zuhair Murad Spring 2012 Couture nude strapless gown with an intricate black beaded embroidered detail, the actress looked uber sexy channelling old Hollywood glamour.
She let the gown do all the talking opting for a few pieces of gold jewels including fan earrings plus she applied a red hot lip colour which matched her nails.
Blonde wavy locks swept over her shoulder à la Veronica Lake completed her look.
Dark roots aside, I love this look.
When I saw this collection presented back in January, Blake was on my wish list. Thankfully she did justice this gown.
Zuhair Murad’s sexy gowns and Blake’s smoking hot body continue to be a winning combination.

Of course there’s nothing wrong with wanting to look your best, but you can tell that she’s trying too hard to impress, glad that Chanel dropped her tbh!
Chanel didn’t drop her. She had a one season (Spring 2011) campaign contract like all the other models/actresses who have done their handbag campaigns. It’s different than a fragrance campaign like Keira Knightley’s.
This site has proven time and time again that beautiful looks exist between LBDs and OTT looks like this one.
She’s dressing for the job she wants which is movie star. Nothing wrong with that.
I agree but I can’t work out why. I’m nto against people wearing gowns to premieres, come awards season most people are too scared to wear killer gowns like this, so I’m thankful if anything that they get worn, I just think tthat teh hair & the makeup & the pose & the dress are maybe too much all together. I’m so excited to see her back, I’m really looking forward to seeing what she wears during the promo tour!

When I saw this earlier today my jaw dropped to the floor. Old Hollywood glamour was exactly the first thing that crossed my mind. She looks uber sexy, yes, but she doesn’t look tacky at all. I guess this is my favorite Blake look and one of my favorites of the year. So yeah, BDOTW.
Drop dead gorgeous. She does more than justice to this gown. Head to toe perfect.

I’m happy to see Blake back, a perfect va voom moment here, every detail is working (save the roots but that’s minor for me, I’m still enjoying every minute!)
Of course people think Blake looks OTT in this gown for a premiere when Amber Heard, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Watson, Elizabeth Banks and all the likes have worn gowns for their movie premieres.

No offense to Blake, but of course you would pick a gown for something like a Hunger Games or a Harry Potter premiere, given the size and anticipation sorrounging the film, which is why for a premiere like this Blake’s look just screams overdressed and OTT.
I’ll give you Emma and Jennifer but Amber Heard wears gowns to her premieres and while Johnny Depp was in The Rum Diary, the movie itself was hardly a commercial film. It is more or less on the same level as Savages, yet people are floored by Amber but find Blake to be too OTT, especially considering that she hasn’t been on the redcarpet for months.

She looks spectacular. The dress is gorgeous and fits her perfectly. Her hair and makeup are definitely old Hollywood glamour and work. I adore her earrings. Perhaps it is not the case with Blake, but many natural blonds have what appear to be dark roots when, in fact, they do not color their hair–in fact, if you look at the model wearing the gown, it is the same.
nothing about this look is surprising aside from the fact that she is wearing neither chanel nor marchesa to a major event. it would have been surprising if she had chosen something more subtle and sophisticated than going full jessica rabbit (and wasting that dress at a movie premiere when it was really worthy of the oscars, golden globes, or a major film festival). i’m sure she’ll win BDOTW, she does look great, but to me it’s just more of the same.

She looks great, the dress and the styling are gorgeous, but we can cut the effort with a knife. She’s clearly trying too hard to say “hey, i’m back” and “see, that’s why I told Marie Claire that i don’t need a stylist” . Plus, her hair looks awful and I don’t like the golden bracelet.
