Jaime King attended the 2012 Met Gala, held on Monday night in New York City.
She wore a vibrant red custom Topshop gown with a cross-pattern and ruffles along the neckline and down the open back.
We were all shocked when Ginnifer Goodwin wore Topshop to the same event last year, but lightning isn’t going to strike twice for the high-street retailer, as there is not one thing I like about this gown.
All the ruffles in the world won’t distract me from that cheap-looking fabric. I’m shocked that Jaime, who has impeccable taste, went for this look. I guess it looked better in person.
The actress added Bulgari accessories including a clutch, bracelet and necklace, plus a Van Cleef & Arpels statement ring to add some value to the look, but it’s still a no for me.
She showcased her darker hair colour in a simple bun and completed her look with flawless makeup.

It looks ragged. She looks ragged.
Horrendous. It hangs on her because she is way too thin. What is with the crosses on the gown?
The fabric is gross. Definitely a bummer.

I’m still not over her stupid blue-blonde hair color.. but anyway, I don’t like this look either. Actually I hate it. Last year Ginnifer’s Topshop dress didn’t look cheap at all but this one screams cheap and tacky. Even her expensive jewelry can’t save her from looking this bad.

its really not nearly as bad as you make it sound. the silhouette is nice and simple, the fabric looks no less cheap then that vera wang paula patton wore that you basically gave a 10/10

I can’t think of one thing I like here. Ginnifer Last year was on my top 20 of the year for that look, it was awe inspiring. This is car crash.

It’s a good thing Chloe Sevigny and Kristen Stewart came along to steal worst dressed out from under her. Clicking on Ginnifer Goodwin’s outstanding dress from Topshop last year made me hate this all the more.
Did you see her back, she accessories very well with a cross shaped neck piece to match the cross motifs on her dress. I think you were being too harsh on her for picking a cheap gown. She looked way better that so many celebrities and famous people who dressed in high fashion and didn’t impress. The 2012 MET Ball had the worst dresses compared to the previous years.
I am always the first one to cry cheap when I see it but this is not the case. I think this gown is great and goes well in line with everything else Jaime wore recently.

This dress looks like it’s about to fall apart. It’s awful. I’m not a fan of the necklace either, she should have opted for something more delicate. The only thing I like is the clutch.
The style of the gown is gorgeous, but the material looks like thrift store satin. If this was in a luxe jersey, or in heavy silk…in a different color…it would be fabulous.
