When I saw Katie Holmes at the inaugural 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon hosted by The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo at Soho House in Beverly Hills yesterday afternoon, I yearned for the days when she used to hang out with Victoria Beckham.
That was when Katie made an effort and when she was at her most fabulous.
We got a glimpse of her back at her best at the Vanity Fair party, but looking at her in this Holmes & Yang skirt paired with a Lanvin skirt, that moment of fabulousity was short lived.
I mean, you couldn’t get more boring.
Those two-tone T-bar Rodarte pumps are sending chills down my spine, and not in a good way.

I like the shoes, they’re the only good thing about the look.

Maybe I will be in the minority, but I actually think it is an interesting look, even if not a “wow”. The textures and pattern on the skirt, and the choice of shoes save it from me agreeing with the label “boring”. Her hair is a bit limp though.

VB has become so boring. I don’t think it would help her to hang out with her in my humble opinion.
The look is awful. It’s sad becaus esome times, like the oscar party, she proves that she can really wow us, and then she goes back into secretary mode.
The shoes Katie wore beat Raquel’s shoes. But, if we compare both of them, miss Raquel won this by a mile bar.

Blah. It looks like she either added a seam down the middle or she is wearing the skirt sideways, because those lines look like they are designed to contour a woman’s rear. I keep wanting to shift her skirt to her left!
This is actually quite good by Katie’s standards.
I like this look, and I adore a spectator pump! I think the shoes plus the detail at the end of the skirt give a nod to the 20s. I think it’s charming.

No surprises here. At least she doesn’t look like she’s trying so hard like all the other times. It’s as if there’s a boring Katie or a trying too hard mess Katie. I think I’d rather see the boring than her usual hot mess.

but you’re right. Katie was at her best when she was BFF with VB , I remember that period she even got a campaign for Miu Miu
