Rooney Mara In Hiraeth – Art Of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Rooney Mara In Hiraeth - Art Of Elysium 'Heaven' Gala

Rooney Mara attended the Art Of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala on Saturday (January 5) in Los Angeles, California, joining Lily Collins.

The actress wore a Hiraeth Spring 2019 ensemble, which is her ethical vegan fashion brand.

Many were probably surprised by the sweeter sentiment the white coordinates evoked given her penchant for sharp lines and dark elegance. And the surprise likely increased when they found out it’s her line.

That’s not to say it’s completely out of character. The optic white colour and sharp crop top are in line with her signature style.

The overall look presents a sophisticated minimalism that makes me intrigued to see more of the collection and from her.

2018 Emmy Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2018 Emmys

There were many more stars in the 2018 Emmy Awards constellation on Monday (September 17) in LA.

Madelaine Petsch: The starlet complemented her cascade of auburn waves with a Prada gown that furtively cloaked a shiny embroidered skirt under cloudy tulle layers.

Tatiana Maslany: This Christian Siriano design was inspired by the Spring 2019 collection, with the highlighter-yellow front train delivering all the sass you could possibly want. Christian Louboutin heels and EF Collection jewels completed the neon-bright entrance.

‘Assassination Nation’ LA Premiere

'Assassination Nation' LA Premiere

Shortly after the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival premiere of ‘Assassination Nation’, Hari Nef, Suki Waterhouse, and a few other starlets were on the red carpet for the LA premiere on Wednesday (September 12).

Hari Nef: Going back to her Gucci zone, Hari was vibrant in this floral-print frock from the Resort 2019 collection that had a retro-forward mood. I loved the intense coral-red lip, but I can’t say the same for the colour of her lemon-yellow shoes.

Suki Waterhouse: On this occasion, Suki’s bohemian style took a princess-y turn with this Christian Dior Cruise 2019 black lace dress that featured an embroidered ottoman belt. She completed the frock with Dior black pumps and a ballet bun. I do thinks she pulls off the girly gracefulness of the look.

PaleyFest Los Angeles 2018: ‘Stranger Things’ Red Carpet Roundup

More of the ‘Stranger Things’ cast was at the PaleyFest Los Angeles panel on Sunday (March 25) in Hollywood, joining Millie Bobby Brown.

Natalia Dyer: This Delpozo dress was a darling look for Natalia. I love the exaggerated bows at the shoulders and its pastel spring palette along with scalloped effect on the Christian Louboutin ‘Miss Naseeba’ heels for a sweet-chic effect.

Charlie Heaton: This Ermenegildo Zegna Couture suit may not have had the bells and whistles of some menswear looks we’ve seen lately. But, I still loved the casual, handsomely unkempt flair of it all, between the deep army-green hue to the untucked Topman shirting and the Aquatalia ‘Lawrence’ boots.

Sadie Sink: This Hiraeth dress is her second look from Rooney Mara’s vegan clothing line. I like how she stays true to her personal style and tomboy spirit and edges up even a girlish frock like this with combat boots. Repossi jewels completed the ensemble.

Nickelodeon’s 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

More starlets took to the orange carpet at Nickelodeon’s 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday (March 24) in Inglewood, California.

Lily Chee: There was so much charm tied up in this Isabel Marant asymmetrical dress, styled with Marc Jacobs heels, which was such a chic, fresh rendering of the LBD.

Kira Kosarin: With a play on menswear tailoring, this Barrus London ensemble featured plenty of feminine allure with the off-the-shoulder silhouette. A #NeverAgain pin completed the look.

Riele Downs: I was jumping for joy at the pure fun of this striped jumpsuit and super-heroine train, as it may have been bold and daring, but Riele had the attitude—and the gorgeous hair—to make it all so relevant for a Nickelodeon night. I don’t think the arm cuffs were necessary, as the look already had so much going for it.
